Memphis has been called the most racist city in America. I've experienced it, and many others I've met had similar experiences there. Some say it's because MLK assassination, but I don't buy that in 2017.

I'd honestly say Memphis is probably one of the least racist cities of its size and demographics.
We just don't have issues like other cities despite the MLK assassination.
Hell, we not only have a 15 foot statue of him, but the founder of the KKK is buried in the middle of a city park in the heart of the medical district. Sure, once a year a group from Detroit may come down and protest, but when nobody pays them any attention they leave. Nobody here is concerned with erasing history.

I'm always skeptical too. I can't remember when one of these stories was proven true... Plenty were proven to be bullshite though.

I'm calling BS on this one. There are 2 types of gleeful stiffers: Customer copy taker stiffs...and Leave both copies behind stiffs. This dude mixed up their MO.
1. A leave both copies stiff is likes to toy with the "victim" by prolonging the illusion of normalcy...when it's actually a time bomb. They leave the merchant copy slip sticking out of the check presenter...like a fuse. BOOM. The stiff. The stiff totals it all the way down in overstated fashion then writes that shite in the vicinity of the signature line...on both copies.
2. The Customer Copy Taker Stiff is the guy that writes across the top of the slip. He then leaves the tip area completely blank. The total is either left blank as well or translated into some form of scribble. The slip is signed, however, perfectly legible...EXACTLY as it appears on the credit card. The stiff takes the itemized receipt and customer copy of the slip upon leaving.
Both types leave the door open for a final insult - Disputing the charge. The Copy taker type diabolically putting the victim in the position to commit fraud in the name of righteous indignation.
TLDR: Top taunters don't leave both copies.
