Yeah the intensity level seems odd.

This wasn’t as bad as I was expecting from a violence standpoint. But those cops handled it about as poorly as possible sans shooting the guy. Once you’ve got him cuffed and essentially “in custody” jumping around and teeing off on his face with fists and your billy club seems…..excessive.

I have no idea what the backstory of this is, but if the wife thing is true it makes sense because some of that definitely seemed personal.

And while it’s not as bad as I expected, it’s definitely a good thing that these dudes won’t be cops anymore.

I was definitely confused at first because I kept seeing and hearing “all black cops” and the first video I saw was a white dude.

ETA: I get the “he isn’t complying” arguments too, but if he truly wasn’t doing anything wrong and these cops confront him at 11/10 intensity, I can understand adrenaline and confusion contributing to some of that.

I was expecting worse.

Watch some old episodes of “Cops” and you’ll see similar actions with criminals resisting arrest.

I don’t understand why some people refuse to obey cops orders, resist arrest and want to fight the officers. Pretty much if you avoid those actions, you won’t die in a police encounter.

they easily could have cuffed him if they wanted to. they knew what they were doing

This. You have 5 guys built like middle linebackers and his arms held behind his back where they could’ve cuffed him at any moment.

Is he resisting? Yes. Is it their job to get a combative person into their car without literally beating him to death? Hell yes.

If you’ve watched all of the videos and are ok with what transpired then you’re a piece of shite in favor of a authoritarian government and I hope like you hell you lose your right to vote before you doom us all.

They will get some time to workout in prison since 5 of them clearly weren’t strong enough to handle him
No doubt

The way they handled the situation was terrible and they killed him and deserve prison.

But the post I replied to insinuated he was never able to put his hands behind his back because they were beating him. That’s just wrong.

Them being so inept at cuffing him in the first video makes it seem like they didn’t even want to. But that would bring the rumors into play. Idk if I believe those.

Reckless driving,

From an audio excerpt on the video, one of the cops said the guy swerved into lanes and almost hit him in his vehicle.

Looks like the same combination of arrogance, stupidity, laziness and lax departmental rules as it usually is.

Those cops are absolutely terribly trained. That had to be just about the most inefficient 5 on 1 handcuff attempt I’ve ever seen. And the dude in video 3 is fricking completely gassed out from just standing around the edges and spraying pepper spray. We gotta do a hell of a lot better job training officers in how to deal with physical altercations than this

This is the self fulfilling property that liberals and the media cheer on with

-defund the police
-vilifying all cops
-neutering police morale by releasing those criminals they catch
-pushing for DEI and lower qualifications

if you hate cops you cause the public to not respect authority, you prevent citizens s from becoming cops, you end up with even worse cops, which leads to incidents like this, which leads to people hating and not respecting cops…repeat

The light pole camera that they didn’t see tells the story, they are yelling give me your hands when he is clearly cuffed and not resisting and then they just start beating the shite out of him for no reason.

They just murdered this poor guy.

Cops kept talking about him being high and why was he running. The conversation seemed legitimate enough to me that they weren't faking a story to hide a history with this guy.

I think they just pulled him over expecting to deal with some shitehead, and they guy resisted and it pissed him off and instead of de escalating all of the officers were pissed and escalated it.

It was also very lazy police work, they didn't want to put in an effort to cuff him and only 1 or 2 cops were working on holding him to cuff him the first arrest. If they all 4 or 5 would have held him down and cuffed him its over in 30 seconds. If that was a guy with a gun with that lazy of police work they'd have been shot.

They stood him up while he was cuffed and tees off on him like Mike Tyson. Did you not see the kicks to his head when he was cuffed on the ground?
