I have a general issue with gofundme stuff, but if the summary is true, she held the door closed and watched him burn to death
that's fricked regardless of how bad he was to her, and I'm sure she probably does need help
given that she probably doesn't have source of medical help in this circumstance, her friends trying to raise money to help her get her life back together seems reasonable IMO

He was running into a crowded bar while literally engulfed in flames...he could have easily taken multiple and/or the entire bar down. He had also beaten the everliving shite out of her in the past. The guy definitely should have received some mental/emotional help somewhere along the way, but at that point I don't think she's at all at fault for holding the door closed as long as she could and yelling for all of the patrons to run outside. $27k may be an excessive amount of money, but she is without a doubt going to need some kind of trauma counseling after seeing that. It's been disturbing me and I wasn't even there and have only seen the guy around town, never knew him personally.

I mean, how do you try to save someone that is engulfed in flames after being doused in an accelerant?

Not to mention he managed to damage a bunch of her sound equipment that she has to replace herself due to water, smoke damage, etc.
