Cut that in half, I'm not counting on the lottery for 29 years.

I do t think he mentioned, it's 3420 an hour at 24 hours a day....

Also, it's not quite like that. It's one initial sum and then 29 more payments increasing by 5% each year. And you can pass it to a beneficiary if you die. I'd take that deal.

You should read about a couple of states that aren't paying lottery winners because they don't have the money.

Remember that buying a ticket "statistically" does, but doesn't really increase your chances of winning.

That being said, if I buy a ticket, I'd have to take the lump sum. There is a higher than I'm comfortable with chance that the USA could shift towards socialism in my lifetime, meaning that annual payment would be taken.

It's interesting to see LA charges 5? tax on lottery prizes, yet the home of left-wing LGBTQXYZs and onerous taxation, the communist state of California, doesn't tax lottery prizes.

That is enough money to buy a permanent spot on that cocaine/hooker cruise.

After taxes it’s almost not with the hassle to buy a ticket.
I love it when the news channels make the comment about having to pay taxes on it. I will gladly pay my 35% on anything i win

Ding fricking ding. Get the cash. Set it up in multiple offshore safe havens around the globe to limit the impact of any one government deciding they're going to frick people over. Move only a million or so into U.S. accounts for walkin' around money.

"frick all y'all" would be my new motto.

ETA: It's my motto now, but it would be my new one, too.
ETATA: RIP, Mitch.

It's showing 24% Federal on the link provided. I figured it would be 35 or 40%. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Moving from LA to TX or FL would save you 5%. That's almost $25 million on this lump sum jackpot.
