What is y’all’s opinions on the current program?
Short sighted and a massive bottleneck. Law defined limits on growers and pharmacies mean it's expensive and scarce, plus not as potent to boot. I think the upcoming opening of flower will only make things worse. As soon as the limits on growers and stores is lifted though, IMO it would explode here.

It is just another way of getting tax money from people who are dumb enough to think they need a foreign substance in order to feel good.

I too am not a fan of expensive half gram distillate mixed with botanical derived terpenes pax pods.
Get the RSO and put it in a vape cart.

I have referred many patients to the local distribution center. And many have been very pleased with how it helps their particular situation.
Make sure you give them OxyContin and a covid shot too so you max out that kickback

So.. do you ever drink coffee or tea? Drink any alcohol? Sip on herbal tea, like chamomile?

They are all being taxed at an effective 70% rate
But just think about how well that tax money is being spent!

Weed should be legal for all adults over the age of 21
Simple as that
I don't understand it either. It has way less adverse effects on the body than booze. It should have never been illegal IMO

Has anyone used the tincture available from the pharmacy?

The more its regulated, the worse it will be for the consumer.
We overregulate the shite out of weed here. People actually prefer buying it on the street in some cases.

Been saying this for the longest time. Most smokers have a reliable dealer. No hassle no fuss, good quality. Why pay more for shite that's been on the shelf for months and dry as shite. That's for flower. Now oil and edibles are a different story

If it weren’t for the pharmacies with the insane mark up, killing their potential patient count with the high cost.
Posted on 9/24/21 at 4:29 pm to LigmaSugma
I think we should fully legalize the hippie lettuce. Almost nobody under the age of 70 cares about weed.

I've met a few Doctors who have the Distribution Rights. Seems like the Money Makers are a group from Lafayette. There is no way outsiders could compete with the Good Ole Boys!
Yeah, no coincidence that the President of one of the only two suppliers/growers is Paula Davis' husband.

You’re not paying for the weed, you’re paying for the right to be legal.

It’s all contracted out to growers who had to bid on the contract. The way it came about was pretty crazy. A rep basically said the only organization he’d trust to grow would be the LSU AgCenter without the AgCenter having any knowledge about it. So they basically saddled the AgCenter with the task without any infrastructure in place to make it work. Hence the contracting out of the growing.
There’s finally some work beginning on the industrial hemp side so the ball is slowly rolling like everything in LA.
