oohh so your trend isnt what you actually saw, it is a real statistic. Why dont you post it to add something factual to this thread. because i really dont believe it.
You appear to think that attacking the statistics portion of my post, you're invalidating my personal observations? Those were counteracting two very different claims you made.
However, for your enjoyment (and obvious lack of ability in using internet search engines): Stats

Next is the lower-middle class, which is primarily comprised of lower-level, white-collar workers. These workers typically have college educations, but lack the graduate degrees needed to advance to higher levels of employment. Income for these workers generally falls between $32,500 and $60,000.
Seems pretty close to me.
I know of plenty of people in the lower middle class, and they all take vacations. Been in the middle class my whole life
Tell me more about feelings and the idiocy of your assumption you made about his money management.

"It takes a long time for people to change their view of what class they're in," Gordon says. "That's especially true since the current definition of middle class is so broad that it excludes only the top 1 or 2 percent and the bottom 10 or 20 percent." Gordon says popular culture also limits understanding of class, reinforcing the idea that all people are in the middle. "Sixty years of universal television-watching has fostered the idea that everyone is in the middle class. Most TV sitcoms are about people like us, except sillier," he says. " There's very little media portrayal of a truly upper class that would make the vast middle feel that they were in some different sphere."

Is this really that bad? Most people start at the bottom, not the top. Geez at the entitlement.
I made 18 k my first year flying professionally, with a kid in Houston. Luckily my wife was making a little more then me but McDonald's dollar menu was still a luxury. 4 years later and I'm an OT baller.

Glad I enlisted in the Army at 19 and didn't do college till I was a little older and smart enough not to get some bullshite degree.
Hard to blame millenials for sucking at money when they were raised by baby boomers who are wallowing in debt and unprepared for retirement.

Thanks for the link. So it includes kids working summer jobs in high school/college as long as they are 17 and employed.
I'm more curious about the age 24 thru 30 demographic.
The link shows the median income of the millennial and the median of all employees. Millennials are making roughly 2/3rds of the median of everyone so that is much higher than i would have guessed.
I do think that the curved mean would be a better number to look at, throw out the top and bottom 1 or 2% then average the rest and look at it. I would guess that the difference will be much more noticeable. You have a lot of people who make 8 or 9 bucks an hour because they don't want to do any more than they absolutely have to, it isn't a shot at a generation, it is a fact of all. I have guys who work for me making $15 an hour in construction who complain about not making enough but they want to take on no more responsibility at all, they don't want to learn any more, they just want to show up and go home.

I was born in 84 and don't associate with these SJW weak minded snow flakes. Too busy working trying to provide for my family.
So are 90% of all other millennials. To act like we are all SJW is fricking retarded. The minority is just the loudest cause they are attention whores

Wow. Goes to show you when I see millennials that are living in New York or Cali and still affording trips overseas that means their parents are paying for all their shite.

Not this shite again. Are these working mellenials or does include mellenials in school which will greatly impair this statistic?

Some millennials and a lot of boomers on this board live in a complete bubble.
It's very possible that some people are affording trips and such without the help of their parents. Some of do have good paying jobs and can support ourselves. We may be in short supply, but if that's the circles you run in, then it's going to seem common.

I'm an engineer working in the oil and gas industry. Everyone I know, even the guys with little to no education working offshore, make at least $75k. Blows my mind that someone would be working for $25k per year. If you're still getting paid that little after a year or two then you're really doing something wrong.

Lulz made more than that as an intern
I don't know it's possible to suck so bad

Not everyone can go work offshore.

Also, when those guys are 40-50, they'll still be out there working their arse off for 80-100k, if they're lucky.

I teach yoga in BR and made over 112k (23) so not sure how you engineers can make less than that

You obviously don't understand the concept of gross income vs. net income.
Anyway you slice up 100k vs a barista living in a basement with a degree in a field he can't get a job in is utterly irrelevant.
Plus we have no state income tax

Everybody wants to start at the top. I started at my company making 6.77 an hour picking up trash and cutting grass. Had to do the shite work to get where I am today. Millenials working here always ask, "how can I get your job?" Put in the time bitch.
