I just purchased an older 4runner as a camp vehicle. Runs great but on the airbox it has this written on it: "Trans SV 145k" Obviously some maintenance or replacement of a transmission part but I can't find what SV means.
Any idea? Its got well over 225k now so the owner I purchased from didn't have a clue either.

If it runs fine, transmission isnt slipping and your transmission fluid isnt leaking I wouldnt mess with it.
If you feel the need for changing the fluid i would have it done at a transmission shop or a dealership.

Yea tranny seems fine. No hard shifting and fluid is full.
Seems like a great vehicle. I may replace the suspension as it has a pretty good bit of bounce. But otherwise I’ll plan on leaving it as is .

Holy crap that’s rare unit from the Trans-national Japanese US Navy and it’s a Submersible Vehicle. Can defend to 145,000 leagues. Congrats!
