Looking for someone who is thorough and won’t try to screw me. I’ve been having a loud humming noise coming from under the hood, but I can’t pinpoint where exactly it’s coming from. It’s not constant, just comes and goes. I could use a tuneup regardless though. TIA.

Would recommend you use Facebook or Neighbors for this question. Always fun but who knows what you’ll get on here.

I highly recommend Blanchard Quality Car Care in Prairieville. Mitch is very good, honest, and has reasonable pricing

I think this has been talked about before if you use the search baw. I use Diez tire for all regular stuff I don’t want to do myself. Not dirt cheap or anything but I feel like they’re honest

Tim's car care on airline is who I've always used. Car gets fixed every time and I feel like their prices are fair.

Brouilettes I've always thought was fair, I've used them 3-4 times and they were cheaper than some of the other guys. Over off KC Road and 621

Not Ascension but not far from Ascension.

Go see Tinh at Highland Car Care. Or Jason at K&M Automotive, Two people and businesses you can trust in this field.

I've always use them. Tim is retired and dwayne runs it now. Still good service and prices. They will trouble shoot the problem and avoid unnecessary add ons to overbill you.

Diez Tire is who I normally use but the one on 42, not Airline. The guys working at 42 are much more professional and honest in my opinion. I know it’s the same family/business but I’m not hassled at 42 like I am at the one on Airline.

Their prices are fair, too. Mechanic work is not cheap anywhere but I feel like Diez is fair.

This is actually a good point that I forgot, because I've never gone to Airline and forget that it exists. People have mentioned to me they didn't have great experiences on Airline for whatever reason.

The primary owner on 42, Derek, is as honest as they come.

I’m not sure if he is who works the front counter but the gentleman working the counter is very friendly and professional. Ask him a question and he’s upfront with you and knows his shite. The guys doing the actual work are fast and I’ve never had an issue with any of their work before. Luckily, I haven’t had to deal with anything too serious yet though.

But yea, Diez Tire on 42 is by far the best place I can think of.
