“know several anti covid vax people, me included. I don’t know a single “anti vaxxer.” Our kids have all their vaccines that are time-tested”
Live and raised my kids in a solid neighborhood in katy Texas.. all of us parents and our kids were vaccinated…
There is a solid group of our children’s kids ( grandkids) that are not getting vaccinated.. as op said I think it started during anti covid and spread to the Facebook mother crowd..not super common but certainly more than one or two here and there.

Of course it isn’t… illegals getting their kids vaccinated to attend schools… a unvaccinated kid is more than likely coming from a suburban middle class to upper middle class family…

Hard to imagine West Texas being a hotbed of anti-vaxers. More than likely brought into the country by ILLEGAL ALIENS!!

If y’all want proof how the anti vax is spreading to suburban conservative moms go to the “momma bears” groups on Facebook. Started as anti covid vaccine and it’s completely jumped the shark to all vaccines a lot of those people

You can bet that the Republicans have their kids vaccinated

The bayou mama bears is some real cultural rot. You see it on the Facebook mom groups as well. Anti vax is firmly here among people that should no better.
We used to have 3-4 million cases of measles a year. We statistically eliminated measles in America through vaccination.
Measles outbreaks in the US in 2024 are outbreaks of choice.

Measles is especially dangerous for young children. Many of the confirmed cases in Texas are in children under the age of 5, and that young demographic also accounts for the majority of hospitalizations.
Seminole, Texas is about as far from suburban America as you can get. Suburban Facebook moms are not responsible.
Unvaccinated illegals might be playing a role in the rapid expansion of the outbreak, especially now that it’s spreading beyond Seminole.
However, Gaines County has a large Mennonite community, including two private schools in the area. The Mennonites and their schools are at the epicenter.
Did anyone have Mennonites as being responsible for creating the outbreak?

It's white people driving the outbreak.
Houston Chronicle
Republican white people.

The outbreak is happening in what state officials are calling a "close-knit, undervaccinated" Mennonite community in Gaines County, a rural area in West Texas about 87 miles southwest of Lubbock. But a DSHS spokesperson told the Associated Press that the Mennonite church isn't the reason for the outbreak.
"The church isn't the reason that they’re not vaccinated," DSHS spokesperson Lara Anton told the AP. "It's all personal choice and you can do whatever you want. It's just that the community doesn't go and get regular health care."
Officials told NBC News that it's likely that 200-300 residents of West Texas are infected and untested.

In the 2020 presidential election, the popular vote in Gaines County, TX went to Donald J. Trump with 89.3% of the vote.

Actually, 100% chance it's white Mennonites who originally came from Canada to Texas, because that is the population that has the measles, and they are republicans. So 100% it is white republicans, because that's who it actually is.

Patient zero in the West Texas case may well have been one. Measles did not magically arise there. Someone contracted it from an outside source. Then, in their undervaccinated community, folks transmitted it to one another.
But you and the OP wetting yourselves in the midst of conniption fits about it need to get a grip. It's 48 cases in 90 days. People are free to make their own choices, good or bad. As long as they have the info to decide, STFU and let the chips fall where they may.
What makes it any of your business?

Let me repeat your stupidity:
This instance with this religious community is the exception, not the rule.
Again, your stupidity is astounding.

You forgot Nazis too right?
Literally no one gives a frick. This won’t even be in the news in one week. How bad is your vagina going to be cramping the next 4 years? You need to find a something more meaningful in your life than sky screaming about every little thing.

The county though is 40% Hispanic. Maybe they are what in this situation to fit your agenda would rather call white hispanics. Measles were introduced to community somehow, and majority of the ages of the infected at least as of yesterday show their personal choice was not made as part of any recent vaccination negativity tied to the covid vaccine and its mandates but made before covid existed.
They only had the issue now after record amounts of illegals crossed under Biden without medical records or vaccination status checked which can affect herd immunity especially in smaller communities. The media also constantly under reported the problem and failed this country just like Biden and his puppet masters did.
