Been there and talked to the people. They will, without any shyness, tell you to your face that they have zero desire to be a part of or have anything to do with the United States. Then in the next breath, they tell you how they do want to continue U.S. federal government welfare payments to every PR citizen, how our government should pay for their infrastructure updates and how we somehow "owe" them all of this.

I bet he lives on some kind of big compound with a generator. If they have alimony like in the states, he may be in the dark too. He's been married four or five times.
