You're being far too generous. Cut out the female population, and it's more like 7-8% are responsible for 30% of the rape. The same 7-8% who are FAR more likely to commit violent crime.

And where. Do tell, did the words hurt him? Did the words cut his scalp? Did the words tie him up? The words keep him from eating or drinking for 2 days?

So only kidnapping and worse should be counted as crimes? But you keep thinking that all he did was call him a bad word to his face. Kids need consequences for their actions and the consequences should be appropriate for the crime.

I'm not obsessed with it at all. I'm a registered democrat too before you pass judgement for no reason.

I asked you a question. I'll answer yours when you answer mine. Do you think the teens in the van committed a hate crime or not? Please elaborate if not. Genuinely curious.

I take it back, I'll answer. This particular case is bothersome because in my mind, it's obviously a hate crime. It's cut and dry. As many have said, if roles were reversed, there would be no doubt. I believe failing to label this crime appropriately is going to fuel racism even more.

Words are WIND. They do NOT cause any harm. Sorry little bitch boy got his "feelings" hurt. Maybe if he had a father figure he would have been raised to not be a baby back bitch when people say "mean things"

Fact is words don't hurt. They don't break bones. They don't maime. They don't kill. They don't bruise, they don't cause lacerations, they don't cause any real pain.

Can you point on a doll where the words hurt you?

No. Because they are WORDS.

I find it telling you think laws only to be applied to certain segments of society.

Sorry but what he did was a crime. What both boys did were crimes? And I will add that, with absolute certainty, you are in agreement that the Chicago case should be labeled a hate crime. Why? Because they used, as you state, "bad words". Now riddle me that bad boy

Are your middle school words supposed to cause me hurt? I find it hilarious how worked up you get about this. It's pretty telling about you.

Making a video talking shite about someone isn't a crime. If that's a crime then this world has gone to shite. If I want to make a video and post it and say how I hate blacks Jews Mexicans etc. That isn't a crime. But I damn sure be ready for the reprocussions of that video. But making the video and saying the words that were said in itself. No. That is not a Crime.

Also, I'm against hate crimes entirely. You don't commit crimes against people you love. The act of perpetuating a violent crime on someone in its very core is a hate crime. It's complete horse shite.

But yeah, when 4 blacks kidnap and torture a white guy for days on end, say frick white people. That is clear as day "hate crime" as it is written. I'd say the exact same if it were 4 whites kidnapping and torturing a black guy.

They are not one in the same. One was simple words. Zero harm done. ZERO. ZILTCH. NADA. Words don't hurt. That is a fact. Once you can point on the doll where words hurt you, I will concede my point.

Why won't you just answer the question?

Can I ask another? Do you believe in equality for all races? I sure do.

It's a shame you're digging your heels in. I've valued your opinions as a poster on this board for a while, since this place is full of Trumpkins.

It would not be a hate crime unless those words or similar words were uttered in this case. Or they would have to prove the person was specifically targeted because of his race or disability. The only thing they have to prove that and make it a slamdunk are the words. You know those "words" that you say make no difference.

. It's funny to see you not only get worked up by this school issue, but also not be able to follow logic, as well as get painted in a corner by your own logic . Since you continue with middle school name calling and such, I will leave you painted in your corner.. Thank you. Drive-thru. Good day.

well, the words are just the proof that it was a hate crime. Not the actual hate crime.

Hmm. Why didn't you quote where I said I'm against hate crime laws outright? They aren't needed. If you commit a violent crime against someone, it isn't because you love them it's because you hate them.

But when there is a hate crime law. And it is on the books, there is a clear hate crime and one that is in no way a hate crime. Because no crime was committed. Making a video saying frick n---- or frick Mexicans or frick Islam, that isn't a crime. It may be stupid and deserving of backlash, but it isn't a crime.

And it's very telling how you refuse to say where the words hurt the young black man. Maybe, just maybe, it's because.... Words.... Are words?

See the whole argument is saying or video recording yourself saying racist or bigoted things is NOT a Crime. I can walk around yelling frick n---- and I haven't commited a crime. Words are words. Now once you commit a crime and say racist or bigoted things, then you open yourself up to hate crimes. (Which hate crimes are bullshite all together)
