It's unfortunate that people harbor those thoughts, but there's not much we can do about that. To me, the biggest part of this story from day 1 was the increasingly apparent cover up by either the police, the DA(s) or both. It's disgusting that your local government is OK with letting killers go free without a trial as long as they are connected. That's the real story in my eyes. Racism is bad, but government etc can't prevent or eliminate racism. But they can and have a duty to root out corruption. They appeared to have failed MASSIVELY in that respect in this case.

Yes, you can’t change a lot of that; however, you have to expect more from the justice system.

Consider the Minneapolis situation. It appears we all saw a dirty cop kill a defenseless prisoner, but the higher ups acted seufyly the guy was fired and shortly thereafter the guy was charged with a serious felony. Later his cohorts were also charged. I see the system working.

In Georgia it took longer, but yes the system worked even though some officials appeared to sweep things under the rug. That’s good, but Georgia could do better. It’s not just the McMichaels and crew who need to be questioned there.

Ehh. It only "worked" after Greg McMichael's retarded arse thought releasing a video of his son murdering someone would clear their names.

If Roddy deletes those videos or doesn't ever take the videos, the McMichaels likely never face the consequences of their actions.

I'll say this in general. I know a decent number of police officers.

I haven't seen or spoken to one who defends McMichael or the officers in the Floyd case. It actually makes me feel good that they're objective like that.

It also is kind of funny when I juxtapose their opinions to some posters here defending the McMichaels or the Floyd officers.

Unfortunately that is true.

I believe you.

These things just make the life of a good cop that much tougher.
Somehow cops need to do a better job of policing themselves.

Yes

It's a descriptor. If someone cuts you off in traffic and you call them bitch or a-hole instead of "Inconsiderate person/Ze/Zim" makes you a sexist? What the frick ever.

Bro, it’s time to quit posting. You can try all you want, but no one is going to excuse your racist arse feelings.

Your parents‘ racist asses apparently.

Did they teach you the difference between the “white” black people and the n words or was everyone just an n word to them?

Nope. My mom is BLM and my Dad is non-political Asian.

When we are toddlers, we like to touch all cats and dogs...when do we get fearful of them? A scratch to an arm, a sudden snarl and bark?

I'm a hardcore republican and that place is such an absolute embarrassment that it should be removed from this board IMO. To have it associated with TD.com over the last few years is arguably a threat to the rest of the forum.

It makes me laugh that people will just act like the n-word is just another descriptive word.

Like if I asked about your neighbor, it would be allegedly be the same thing if you said "he's tall" vs "he's a n-word." They're not the same.

Racial slurs make people think you're a racist and a jerk. Calling someone an a-hole just makes them think you're a jerk.

It really isn't difficult if you're not obtuse.

As a 50% Asian with a 100% Asian wife with I hope a 75% Asian kid on the way, call me obtuse or whatever racially derogatory name you can dream, it doesn't bother me.

If it bothers you, it's because it hurts. Because the truth indeed hurts.

Now I would LOVE to work to remove the source of HATE instead of the vocalization of hate. If someone stinks, let's help them learn hygiene instead of saying that we should accept their stench and not mention it....even going as far as pretending the stench doesn't exist.

As in your example, calling someone tall wouldn't hurt them, but short likely would, right? Why?

I'm confused how you think this applies to the N word.
