I'm rewatching the relevant part of the preliminary hearing now. McMichael Jr. said in a statement to police that he "knew Arbery wasn't going to surrender when he saw him from 30-40 yards away" and that his "coast guard training" had taught him that. The GBI agent also said he could see in the video that when he got out of the truck he "raised the shotgun at him [Arbery]." Dude is frickED.
