Well he had the same amount of time to make a better decision than to follow someone, move his vehicle on to the shoulder and aggressively pursue an altercation.. I'm not going to say the shooter did the right thing, but for the sake of his kid JM should have made a better decision..

let's remember... from the middle of the CCC to the intersection of Behrman & Holmes is about 4 miles... given traffic conditions... 10 minutes of chase time

that's a really long time to hold a grudge over someone cutting you off in traffic

Norman stated in his presser that JM was shot while standing at the passenger window....what do you think a jury would tend to believe?

He didn't say this. I watched the entire presser.

Was there another presser? He didn't say a thing about where he was shot in relation to the vehicle. He said all of the casings ended up in the vehicle and the shots were fired from inside the vehicle, but he didn't say anything about where McKnight was.

Fully agreed.

If someone is threatening you but you have an excellent opportunity to call the cops without putting yourself in harms way, you should be required to.

That doesn't mean that I have a problem with the aggressor dying though.

per WWL......The Sheriff said "McKnight was positioned at Gassers passenger window when Gasser shot him three times from inside the vehicle"

Exactly. It's fair to speculate, but don't lump speculation in with facts and try to pass it all off as some sort of cliff notes.

so if someone is the 'aggressor' and shoves me, I am 100% justified in pulling out a gun and shooting them? Please tell me more Clarence Darrow!

Please explain why I'm dumb for thinking Gasser had other options, before the intersection incident?

That is completely inconsequential to the case.

But the shooting occurred in Terrytown, if you are going to Terrytown you would get off the Terry exit. Not exit in Algiers. The route they took makes no sense.
Not necessarily. It depends on where you're going, what time of day it is, what traffic is like, what stops you need to make, and any number of other factors.

Parts of Terry Parkway and/or Wall Blvd are 30, while parts of Holiday/Behrman/Lapalco are 45. I think DeGaulle is only 35 now, but it used to be 40 closer to the bridge. Also, Terry is 2 lanes and DeGaulle is 3 lanes before Holiday.

It's the same kind of reasoning why people take DeGaulle instead of Lafayette/Belle Chasse Hwy to get to Belle Chasse.

Wait so if someone is following you in their car, it should be a legal requirement that you call the cops?

Victims being victims is now a crime. Awesome.

For that scenario you also take Terry. The route was odd.

It is for sure faster to exit Terry then go up Holmes then it is to go the round about way they took, especially around the time schools let out and traffic is starting.

If I'm going to Belle Chasse or Timberlane or Terrytown, I exit Terry, Holmes moves quicker than Gen DeGaulle.

It's a good short cut. even Waze sends you that way. You wouldn't stay on Terry Parkway unless you were going to Wall or Carol Sue.
