I've got good news and bad news. The good news is the thread you were in previously is only at 37 pages. The bad news is that this is an entirely different thread and all 57 pages are new. Go to the OP for cliffs.

Shooter was released. SD had a presser and said there is no witnesses saying JM was begging for his life. Said shots were fired inside Gassers car. JM appears to have been leaning in the window.

WTF are you talking about? Gasser seems to have been justified. I haven't argued otherwise. What I'm saying is that McKnight, like many other Americans, probably had no clue about castle doctrine applying to motor vehicles. He likely approached Gasser's car to have words with him after they've been in an altercation since the Greater New Orleans Bridge. Even if he didn't want to fight the man, the moment he put a hand inside the vehicle Gasser was justified in shooting him. What is so hard to understand about that?

I'm sure McKnight is beaming down with pride, knowing he did his part to help you anonymously be right on the Internet.

Jump the gun a little? You're saying something there that you don't know to be fact.

Where does the idea come from you can "hold him for 24 hours"? Not so. Law enforcement either arrests or releases in LA. This ain't some other places where you can 'hold' someone for any length of time unless an arrest is made.

Once the arrest is made, with a warrant, you have 72 hours to get the accused before a judge for an initial reading of rights.

If the arrest is without a warrant, you have 48 hours to present an affidavit to a judge who then sets bond, or doesn't.

Regardless, they couldn't simply hold him for 24 hours, or 2 hours, etc., unless they made an arrest.

And further, they can always make the arrest but it's up to the DA whether or not to formally charge.

I am guessing in this case, the DA was on board and it'll probably be before a grand jury fairly soon.

Literally no one has stated or insinuated this. You are acting like you were vindicated by this presser, but regardless of what was said in the presser, or what evidence comes to light, or what charges are, or aren't brought, you've been acting like an a-hole in this thread.

I've got news for you. Not everyone who disagrees with you, or sees things in a different light, or believes that just because it's legal to shoot someone, it doesn't mean you should shoot someone, is a liberal.
