Normally in that situation, they charge the guy with something within 24 hours just so they can keep him.
Discharge of a weapon could be enough to keep someone.
There are "no discharge of firearms in parish limits" signs in the wooded area off Berman.

WTF, so nobody can see that either way this is joe mcknight's fault?
1) If Joe Mcknight got out first, then gasser had every right to defend himself as he had no idea what joe mcknight had on him or what his intentions were
2) If gasser got out first, looking for trouble, then mcknight was an idiot for not driving away and avoiding all confrontation.
Gasser is not innocent of anything, he killed a man, but to say joe mcknight had ZERO control over the outcome is just wrong. Either way joe mcknight had a choice to not die yesterday, nobody made him get out of that car. People honk, yell, scream at each other all the time in cars, when you choose to get out of that car, you better damn sure know what you're up against. Its a tragic situation bc so many lives were changed forever, but everyone jumping on gasser right away is wrong, there is a reason the cops didnt charge him with murder right away.

So if he was first, Gasser was smart for defending himself. If he was second, then McKnight was an idiot for getting out, presumably to defend himself as well?
This
For frick sake even if McKnight was pulling him out the car and backed off when he saw the guy. You dont still shoot him. I love how this douche sees two outcomes and both are McKnights fault.

Based on that, I would assume there is strong evidence that documented the incident.

Even if Joe was being threatening that doesn't justify shooting him if there was any way out. Sounds like there were people there so there was a way out.
Yeah I was about to post something similar to this. There is the possibility that Gasser was within his legal authority to use deadly force, but he could still be a worthless piece of shite who is getting bailed out by a flawed law.
In other words, Gasser could = George Zimmerman.
It is also plausible that McKnight was incredibly violent and Gasser had no choice, but based on his appearance on the street, it doesn't look like he was roughed up.

would he have died if he stayed in his car? The answer is no
Posted on 12/2/16 at 12:09 pm to dabigfella
So let's say I bump into someone walking down a sidewalk, we exchange words, then that person comes towards me looking angry, I have the right to kill them and claim self defense?

if you feel threatened then you have a right to defend yourself. Do you carry a gun on you at all times? I doubt you do.

If you just had surgery, and someone threatened you with physical force that you feel could kill you; you have the right to defend you self in any way.

You've got to be trolling at this point. Perhaps you need an admin-assisted timeout or something.
So if Gasser got out, Joe should have driven away. If Joe got out, Gasser should have stood his ground and shot him if necessary.

I am guessing Joe pulled the guy out of his car. Joe sees the guy has a gun and starts apologizing. Guy shoots Joe and says I told u not to frick with me.
