And the mayor is doing a fantastic job of ensuring the state laws granting that civil service protection will not be changed anytime soon. Those laws were put in place for situations just like this...to protect officers from political retribution for doing their jobs

Like I said. She'll gladly violate those laws and pay a handsome sum of "free money" to get what she wants. Laws mean nothing to these people as evidenced in her statement in the article.

You realize how much it sucks for Salimoni?

Live your whole entire life in the BR area, then become an officer to serve BR, then get out in a terrible situation and do the right thing which forces you to take a mans life

And then after all that, your racist mayor tries to ruin your life and force you out of your home. frick Broome. She should rot in hell

I think the Alton Sterling monument needs a quart of red paint dumped in the parking lot to increase is authenticity.

Good luck. Any person who did that would instantly be charged with hate crime and intimidation charges.

My prayers for BRPD. Everyone knew beforehand what this witch was. How in the hell did she get elected?

No shes not worse than Mitch. Yet. But she is trending to be much worse by the time she's done.

I'm more shocked at the lack of collective pushback from BR residents, businesses, politicians. Get this brawd under control BR. There's no reason why the GOB network can't rein this divisive bitch in.

While I don't know for sure and what I am about to say is only an assumption, but if he was that important to his family he wouldn't have been living in a church shelter. So the question should be. Why did they allow him to live in a church shelter where he probably lacked resources he would have if he lived with family members, which might have contributed to him out on the street at 2AM selling CDs.

The info that he was living in a shelter was released after the Feds concluded their investigation

I hope a substantial number of EBR parish residents are emailing and calling her office to voice displeasure with her anti- law enforcement stance.

Funny how his family only cared about him after he got shot for going for a loaded weapon

Maybe she should understand and respect the need for thoroughly checking application resumes...and not hiring people that will bail on her after 5 days.
