You're probably right. Don't even care about NOLA politics, but I was bored.

There was an article leading up to the election showing that Charbonnet and one of the front runners for the Atlanta mayor opening had multiple donors coming from each other’s cities. Why would companies in Atlanta want to donate money to a New Orleans mayor and vice versa? Some deep rooted stuff going on there.

All politicians do it. It is all about money and covering each other asses. A club of convicts that are not yet in jail yet IMO.

Research the Caddo Parish DAs office and the last election they had and look at where money came from in that race. It is almost scary the outside influences that are injected into your/our local governments. CORRUPTION!

It's def pretty damn common in La. I mean hell, we kept elected slick Eddie and everyone knew he was shady as fck.
If the Feds had the resources and wanted to investigate every political entity in this state I'm guessing 60 to 75% would be found to be corrupt

You are right.

The sad part is these asshats are never held as accountable as they should be.

It is still Scruffy's stance that governmental corruption is on par with treason and the sentencing should be death.

If she abuses the little things, she'll abuse the big things.

I'm going to sit in JP and worry about the worst thing we have in JP is a little boylove, NOLA might go back to 2004.

There's so much corruption and complacency in NOLA government there aren't enough investigators to even begin cracking down. Plus no police agency enforcement agency really cares. They're probably all getting kickbacks.

Y'all 'member when William Jefferson was under indictment and he still got elected? Man had like $75,000 in his freezer and he still won the vote. It was well documented Cantrell had some issues with public funds and credit cards, and she still got elected. Nothing ever changes. As Frank Davis would say, "That's Naturally N'awlins!"

Because the Democrats in that City all Believe that it’s okay to do whatever it takes to “Get Mines,” so when somebody “Gets theys,” it’s celebrated like a success.
