Any chance this was part of some kind of strategy to destroy trust between BRPD and the community? I don't think any reasonable person could be that negligent.

I don't believe they have anywhere to close to the political acumen to think this out. They don't even know to check references on a resume.

Exposing the names of CI's doesn't really do much other than ruin the efficacy of police to stop black people from killing other black people. This was just good old fashioned incompetence.

Gilmore resigns
quote:
One of Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome's top deputies and first hires is resigning from his post as assistant chief administrative officer.
James Gilmore, best known recently for his role in administering the federal Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination anti-gang initiative, has submitted a letter of resignation to the city-parish. Gilmore's last day will be September 1.
Gilmore resigns

Will be interesting to see why.
8 months in and still no CAO. Clown shoes.

Eh, I'll give her a break on that. Dabadie just turned his letter in not too long ago.

there is enough plausible deniability and enough vagueness in the BRAVE funding goals to avert any criminal investigation. This is more about eating their own, in my opinion
Broome told this dude to fall on the sword and that will be that
Until the next bafoonery

Jesus...if they ever produced a video of "what not to do as a mayor" they would have a perfect documentary between swb and penis head from nola.

Yep. Nominated to be the fall guy I'm sure in exchange for some future contractual considerations. Maybe $9500 to organize a basketball game or a BBQ

I'd love to see how much money she's spent on that and compare it to Kip. Looks like Nak needs to submit a FOIA request.

She ran for Mayor saying she would get rid of him.
Shouldn't she have had her ducks in a row when it came time?
Curious as to how the search is going, total # of applicants.
