Not a bad idea to warn those just with moderate rotation. The winds in them have been big for a while now. Going to do damage without anything on the ground.

Yeah, your 5% chance for damaging wind and hail, and your 2% chance of a tornado just didn't pan out.

Flooding here in Cahaba Heights in Birmingham. We've had a hickory that has threatened to fall for the last several years. It came down today. Guess I'll be running the chainsaw tonight. Laid across our driveway and didn't hit anything.

This thing had an extreme lean. Honestly, I can't believe it's taken this long to come down. It was never going to hit anything with the direction it was going. We decided to just let it do its thing. I'll cut it up tonight and get a wood splitter in the next couple of weeks. Bought a new firepit recently with a grill grate. Looking forward to grilling out over fresh hickory these Fall Saturdays!

Tornado or not, and it isn't a strong couplet, that part of the line is doing some damage.

The ST Warning is saying 80+ mph winds. It doesn't matter if they are rotating at that point if we're dealing with just low-end spinup.
