I think they're treating it like a tornado. There's a slight couplet on the Northern warning. This is a big time wind event, for sure. I don't know if the Severe Thunderstorm Warning would get folk's attention.

They are calling it a Radar Confirmed Tornado near Flowood (when the warning was issued).

It was down yesterday. Or, at least it was on RadarScope. Showing red like they do when they aren't functioning.

Any of those cells SE of Jackson and the main line look liable to start spinning in the next 30 or so. That one near Taylorsville looks the part of a supercell already and has some loose rotation.
