Reading the indicent report at the WAFB site, it looks like the incident start time was 1219 pm. That is probably the time Max arrived at the hospital. Just so sad.

Don't think the state lab has finalized the BAC, but the coroner did say the lab at OLOL reported it was very high.

12:19PM would mean the entire house would've walked past him by the time they realized he was not doing well. I was thinking they brought him in around 7 or 8AM.

I’m just curious, and not arguing in any way, shape, or form, but how does them enacting more strict alcohol policies make it more dangerous for the students/frats?

It drives it more underground and away from LSU, leading to mire extreme and dangerous drinking measures. Similar to how no drinking in the stadium makes them get blackout before instead of moderately drunk.

No more pat downs at the student gate means these young bucks and does can sneak in their alcohol, get drunk in the stadium, and then chuck the bottles onto the field when they don't get their way.
I watched someone get drilled with an empty fifth of Jack Daniels a few years ago. It certainly left a mark.

I agree. I think everyone was hammered and by the time they woke up or came to, they found the victim unresponsive. Panicking and fearing (knowing) the worst, they throw him in a car and drive to OLOL. They get there, emergency medicine commences and they know they're all fricked.
BrPD rolls up in a show of force - at the request of LSU- to give the appearance of how serious this situation is and to give the right impression for future litigation. LSU admin now uses this as an excuse to hammer if not eliminate the Greek system and prove how serious they take college binge drinking.

Yea.
LSU and BRPD over-reacted to the preventable death of a student.
They're the bad guys in this scenario.

Where did I say BRPD was wrong ? They did exactly what they should've done. I'm suggesting they did it in coordination with the University. And I'm saying LSU did it for the optics. I've got no criticism for BRPD or the DA.
But I do think LSU is overreacting with the suspension of all Greek activities. They're punishing a bunch of people who weren't involved. And I definitely think they'll use this to stifle or eliminate the Greek system.
And how exactly would LSU have prevented this death? People do stupid things. Sometimes they lose their life. The fact that you or LSU thinks it's preventable is naive IMO

It drives it underground and unsupervised. Think of how effective prohibition was, then think that any injuries associated with drinking would make the bystanders liable to prosecution.
Also, compare this with having it at a bar. How many bartenders would let someone chug everclear?
Stuff like this really reinforces in my mind at least that the drinking age should be 18. It being 21 only makes the drinking go underground and unsupervised by anyone.
Only fools believe the drinking age being 21 stops 18 year olds from drinking.
