This looks like the kind of toy Greta Thunberg would think is fun to play with.

Barbie has taken a big hit in sales, maybe you should of bought a lot of the previous Barbies if you don't think a company should try something new to generate sales.

Barbie’s general demographic is girls aged about 4-11, give or take.

You occasionally hit the older person who wants the special collector Mary Poppins Barbie, but that age range is your bread and butter.

Barbie’s big problem, IMHO, is that larger and more expensive dolls like American Girl have replaced it with those groups.

There are ways to try and recapture the market but I don’t think going full SJW is going to do it. In fact, I think it will chase out more of their potential buyers.

Creatable World,

that sounds incredibly creepy, even if the underlying product weren't even more creepy and fricked up. FTGE.

Capitalism. They’ve decided the people who will buy these will outweigh the customers who will stop buying Mattel products because they are triggered by this.

meh. i'm not sure it's that simple. i mean yeah maybe someone "decided" that, but it doesn't mean it was the best business decision. i would say, "We'll see," but i don't give enough of a shite to keep tabs on Barbie.

Add barbie to the list of things I'm boycotting and/or buying in order to burn on facebook.

My youngest daughter really wants a new Barbie. She hasn't decided between Dentist Barbie or Astronaut Barbie. Perhaps we'll just resolve the conflict by opting for Mentally Ill Barbie

I looked under Barbie’s clothes when I was a kid. “She’s” been gender neutral the whole time.

You know as well as I do this isn't being sold to little girls. It's being sold to the mothers of those little girls. Moms who lounge around in workout clothes but don't go to the gym, reading HuffPo on their iPad, and the only thing they have done that comes close to employment is the latest multi-level marketing scheme they're hawking. If they're not hawking Rodan and Fields, they're using their kids to show how woke and hip they are.

"Look at me, look at me, look how progressive I am. I bought MacKenseigh and Methani new gender neutral Barbies. Check mate woke moms on Facebook"

*followed by 400 pictures of two little girls with dead looks on their face with stupid plastic dolls*

We can't let kids be kids anymore, they too must be part of the movement.

The same goes for the pathetic parents of the little girl dressed like AOC that plenty here find hilarious.

People suck. Let kids be kids.

We know you're just playing your role on this board with comments like this, but even you know that the additive effects of little things like this expose children to these issues whether their parents let them play with the toys or not.

That's why it's our job as parents to point out that these people are not normal people and they are to be met with disgust. Being a parent is harder than ever now days, kids aren't told what to be disgusted by.

Ooooooh noooo, the doll has differenr hair and clothes accessories.

PERVERSION!

Meanwhile! the past 30 years in Japan!

We're doing ok, especially since most kids that got the mattel thing would just lego them out as new barbies abd not worry about the politics.

I'm not into gender neutral anything for children, but what on Earth does this have to do with your religion?
