Yea, me too. It's been a long time ago since solving little bitties like this came to me.
My instinct was go left to right = 60
(5 + 1) x 10 = 60
Then, Slackster points out: 5 + (1 x 10) = 15
Relative to order of operations, but my logic brain section has deteriorated significantly.

I didn't read all 18 pages but did anyone point out to the people arguing that the two mugs are the same can no way prove that since one is in front of the other.
Everything about them is identical. The coloring, the size, the foam. They are identical.

Yeah I think I read that somewhere a few pages back.

math is science and you can't prove dick.

Auditor here as well

This is my final answer:
If I was at a bar with 3 bottles, 2 burgers, and 4 mugs, and I said the 3 bottles added together = 30, a bottle plus a burger plus another burger = 20, and a burger plus two mugs plus two mugs = 9, then a mug times a bottle, plus a burger, must = 15.
Those arguing that it is undefinable are arguing that taking a picture of the items how I laid them out would make the problem undefinable.
As I said earlier, anyone who would go with an answer other than 15 if their life depended on it, given the context of the situation, must have a death wish.

5 + (2 x 10) = 25
what's so hard about that?
Edit: oops, I missed the 2 mugs, lol. Yes, it's 15.

Because it's 5 + (1x 10) = 15

besides the fact we have no evidence to support what 1 mug equals?

All of the 25, 60, 70, 16, and 17 answers are evidence of the trick in the problem. People don't see it is one mug instead of two, or hey don't see it is multiplication instead of addition, or they don't know the order of operations, or all some combination of those pitfalls.
The people that see the problem as undefinable are just miserable people.

Schrödinger's cat
We don't know what's behind the beer mug. Could be another beer mug or nothing. We have to assume both

Bulge Theory
I think you meant Puloe Theory
I mean, there's no way to logically prove Puloe is hiding behind Bulge - so we can deduce completely different messages.
AMIRITE??!

There's some on here that want to teach you about bulge theory.

Bottle = 10.
Burger = 5.
EACH Mug = 1.
Therefore, 5 + 1 x 10 = 15.
Burger = 5.
EACH Mug = 1.
Therefore, 5 + 1 x 10 = 15.

You have two make a clear guess about the mug in the back to say that everything about them is identical...come one now, you know that.
