I'd love to know how Mastercard is going to verify who is a transgender or nonbinary person.

Because fraud and identity theft isn’t hard enough to stop, let’s add a wrinkle to its difficulty.
Although a McLovin CC would be badass
Now I’m torn

Looking forward to the news shite storm that happens when a store declines a customer a purchase because their credit card name doesn’t match their drivers license name. Forget company policy, that’s discrimination!

Technically it is against the merchant agreement for a merchant to request an ID for payment as dumb as it sounds.

So what happens when the cashier wants to verify with xyr's ID?

Why does this bother you? In what possible way would this effect your life in any way at all?
Maybe just relax and move on?

It is absolutely insane that in today’s America you can literally PRETEND to be something else and the rest of society must bow down to your wishes. Where does it stop?
Trans-ethnic will be next.

Just because it doesn't bother us and affect us at all doesn't mean we can't point out how stupid, silly and asinine it is, and then laugh at them, does it?

Come to think of it, how often does one notice much less ever say your name?

I couldn't get Apu to convert my Citi MC to a damned Costco Visa. Maybe I need to cut off my dick.

For transgender and nonbinary people, paying with a plastic card bearing a name that conflicts with their appearance can be stressful.
I worked a retail job in high school and can guarantee I never looked at the name on someone's debit or credit card and thought to myself it didn't match. In fact, I never looked at any names on anything. Not even IDs.
Not to mention now that almost every single place of business you would never even hand over your card because you do everything yourself on the card reader. The only time I could think where I hand over a card is at a restaurant.
This seems very unnecessary and pandering.
ETA also seems ruoe for identity theft. "Oh no Mr Banker, I'm now called Christine, not Christopher."
