I just read (and this may have already been posted?) that he previously had a lawsuit against the Mandalay Bay.
This is interesting.
By his logic, killing a significant amount of people from their building could potentially financially harm Mandalay.
Did he lose that lawsuit?

I’m pretty sure the suit was against another hotel not MB.

The first names posted in here were correct.
And the FB pages that were linked here and elsewhere weren't.

Is JROTC SpecOp team training mandatory for country concerts or do you think there's a chance some of the people there had never trained for this?

Admins, please get rid of this guy. There is no need for his BS in a thread like this.

Not hard to pack a bunch of suitcases and have a porter put it on a luggage cart. That's probably all the "help" he needed.

It’s a convention hotel. Roll up to valet, say I need all this brought up to room 32xxx. Belhops deal with this (people with a lot of items) there almost daily.

Not to mention you probably have little to no clue which way to run. I probably would have covered up the wife and shite my pants.

What he is also not sharing is that in most circumstances, you are taught to drop when you hear gunfire, because it's usually assumed shooting is taking place at ground level, and you greatly reduce yourself as a target when you get down. Of course, you then assess the situation, and immediately move to cover when you can.
I doubt very seriously anyone could have instantly determined the shooting was coming from 32 floors up and realized they were making themselves bigger targets. They simply dropped out of natural instinct, and what they've been taught, and it took them a while to even assess what was going on around them. And then when they realized what was going on, they were torn between staying there, or moving, and drawing more attention to themselves.
Those poor people. To think they were idiots for dropping down is mind boggling.

The first response to the Marylou name got me to her page. But I didn’t stay up much past that.

So how did this dude shoot out in the open? Balcony in the hotel room or what?

That's awesome. Would you like a cookie? If only you had been there. Entire thing could have been prevented.

95% of the people in this thread, including me, would have probably done the same thing.
Most of us just don't have the experience to be able to process this kind of event.

Several years ago there was a guy that had won free buffets for a year at the M hotel but he was kicked out and barred for harassing staff. He sued, then went back and blew his brains out in the buffet. This could be something similar on a much larger scale.

Straight through the window.

Fox news just had a new video shot from the base of the hotel, or directly under the shooter. Definitely sounded like bump fire. Shots weren't fast enough to be full auto.
To prove I am not military, wtf is "bump fire"? What makes it easier to get than a full auto? What's it's advantage to an evil assholes? Is it legal? Is it a modification?

Yep. No one had a clue until the third or fourth round of bursts.
Hell, the police were confused for a bit.
I'm so sad for these people and their families.
