You are correct BUT I was considering it as a ~400 yard shot and the seemingly close distance (some people will say I dropped a whitetail at 600y while chugging a beer) leads people to opine it is an easy shot. You are looking at a pie plate sized target that you have to guess at based on muzzle flash (I assume he was not dumb enough to be backlit and the optics would likely not have an objective sized to give more than naked eye light gathering) at 400y. One would have to be dead on with the ammo ballistics "guess" to even get close, it is up there with a golden BB shot. It is just a scenario with too many variables and very limited ability to significantly reduce them.

This is a good theory. Especially since I read an article early on where an Australian couple saw guys in tactical gear chasing a security guard through the Luxor.

We discussed ballistics pages ago in this thread and if ballistics could tell us the distance of the shooter/shooters. Well this guy breaks it down based on the ballistics of a .223 and theorizes that there were two shooters, one at Mandalay 425yards and one somewhere at 250yards.

Brother lives in Vegas and has talked to witnesses. All say more than one shooter. Take it FWIW. That's all I got.

That was an interesting explanation. I guess I would ask why the sounds of two shooters never overlapped and how can he say that a certain bullet hitting is then matched to a certain rifle 'report'. I would have thought that SOMEONE would have found a pile of brass at one of his theoretical shooters perches.

Why doesnt a Las Vegas Casino Hotel have a security camera down the hall way to prove what happened, as i said before almost every sqaure inch of that city is under surveillance except for inside of the hotel room, they should be able to provide footage of everything....

Jives with my theory that the contacts he was there to meet escaped after blasting 200 rounds into the hallway. Left Paddock there to do the shooting. They were probably supposed to get to the Tannerite, but couldnt. They instead found another spot and opened fire on the crowd from a closer distance.

Others on here say it is bullets cracking the sound barrier, i call BS.... If it was bullets breaking sound barriers you would have heard it more than just that out of the hundred rounds and if it was bullets ricocheting you would have also heard it more
