What about 7.62?

Could have been ricochet rounds. Perhaps he tried but nothing happened. I think if that was a legit target he would have ensured that it did the damage he wanted....

I posted the second quote in a different thread. Dont think those were targets.

Why did he shoot 200 +/- rounds down the hallway? Didnt think he left his room, and who was he shooting at?

Because I know some times and places they've found him on security cameras. I was cautioned, smartly, yesterday to stop divulging some information in here. But I can still give broad answers.

Without any specifics, have you heard of anyone discussing a possible motive? I mean beyond a lonely old crazy thrill seeker.

Does anyone know if Paddock's ex-wives are still alive? It would be interesting hearing from them if they ever speak publicly.

Heck, what about former co workers, neighbors, other acquaintences?
Seems strange we haven't heard anything from anyone that knew him since his brother's interview first thing Monday morning.

Good question. I wonder if anyone inside the hotel other than the security guard was injured

If someone I was closely affiliated with just killed 59 people. I’m not talking to the media.

to plan something, alone and without telling anyone, for 11-12 months would be absolutely incredible. i suppose it is possible, though

I researched, planned, and paid for a European vacation as a surprise for my wife, and no one knew about but me for almost a year, I see nothing especially difficult about that.

Yes, another strange thing. Almost like they have been quarantined.

There are plenty enough narcissists in the world that would beg to be put on the national news, though.

Did he ever shoot out the other room he had. He smashed out the window. Did they find anything in there? Did he use it as a diversion or to make it look like there were others shooting?

Or he's retired so limited coworkers

And we've heard from his barista, a couple neighbors (one said he was very distant, another said that they'd watch the house during his trips he let them use his tools and such)

The stories are floating out the but they aren't sensational.

Not sure. But people on the ground reported that the acoustics of the weapons changed which leads me to believe that he moved at least once. I could be wrong though

Prepaid phones
WhatsApp
Use public Wi-Fi or VPN
Buy gift cards for purchases (can also sell for $$$)
Wear hats
Dump PC somewhere
Disable or buy car without GPS

Then, go about your regular day with normal stuff that everyone would use for non-nefarious things. Throws feds off of your trail

But but, nobody found out.

The scenario is only similar if he had to buy the plane for the trip to Europe and hide it for 8 months.

I think it would almost be easier to plan a mass shooting by yourself than planning by yourself a vacation.
You aren't going to ask other's advice on who and when to shoot people.

Late/midlife crisis, wanted to be remembered after death is my best educated guess. I don't think it was ISIS or politically motivated, which is what so many people are having trouble with.

From what I know he was a guy used to getting his way at casinos and would throw small tirades if he wasn't properly recognized or bowed to. That kind of ego can become unhinged pretty easily, especially if you realize you're getting closer to death and nobody will remember you when you're gone.

Serious question. If you are Mandalay Bay what do you do with this suite? Empty it and cover it with wall? I can't imagine anyone will every stay in that room again.

Since Paddock had blocked stairwell doors leading to the hallway outside his room, Campos had to use the elevator to try and find the shooter who was firing on the crowd below. When he tried to enter Paddock’s suite, Campos discovered that the door had been barricaded just before the bullets flew.

Campos, who had no firearm, radioed casino dispatch and communicated his location when he was hit. Additional security guards and police officers rushed to the scene and exchanged gunfire with Paddock. A SWAT team arrived approximately an hour after Paddock ceased firing. The team gained entry by using explosives to blow off the door and found the killer inside, dead by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
