I saw yesterday when searching a VIN number attached to his name and address that he (presumably) had totaled a 2007 Nissan Xtera and it was at a salvage auto auction on 7/25/17. Sounds like he got the new minivan right after if that was his SUV.

Shep again reporting that authorities are "confident" that they will have a motive. Man, the suspense is killing me.

Which residence is she referring to? I think its been established that he recently moved into a retirement-type community.
LA Times
quote:
It was a quiet Tuesday morning in the manicured retirement community nestled in the rolling foothills on the outskirts of Reno where Stephen Paddock and Marilou Danley lived — a scene vastly different than it was 24 hours ago.
quote:
Susan Page, a retired financial analyst, learned the Las Vegas shooter lived in the neighborhood after she was called by a television network Monday. She didn't even know Paddock's name, she said — the reporter only asked who lived at the address.
"Oh my God," she said she thought. "It's my next-door neighbor."
Public records showed Paddock bought the house in 2013, a tidy, tan-and-brown home in a neighborhood with wide, clean streets, crisp air and sweeping mountain views. A faded welcome mat sat outside the front door, not far from a porch swing. The only out-of-place things about the home were dark tire tracks in the driveway and a small light knocked over along the walkway.
Like others who live along Del Webb Parkway, Page said she barely spoke to the couple. In the 2 1/2 months since she moved in, she said, she saw them maybe half a dozen times in the driveway.
Page said Paddock left the house for good sometime in mid-August. She last saw Danley a week later, she said. Danley was packing up her car, piling things on the roof. Maybe she's going camping, Page remembered thinking.

Is this the Nevada house?

Reno...here's more:
Las Vegas mass murderer Stephen Paddock was an unfriendly, reclusive 'weirdo' who barely spoke to his Reno neighbors and kept a sinister-looking giant safe in his garage, locals have claimed.
Paddock, 64, and girlfriend Marilou Danley, 62, lived next door to Susan Page, 68, in Verdi, Reno until August, when they mysteriously packed up and vanished.
Who Paddock was and what was in his fridge-sized safe was the talk of the otherwise sleepy Nevada street until Sunday, when he murdered 58 people and injured 527 more in Las Vegas with his arsenal of 23 guns.
'I barely slept last night thinking about this evil man living next door with a house full of guns,' Page told The Sun.

And more....
Paddock, who made his money in real estate, bought the home, in the Del Webb Sierra Canyon retirement community, in 2012 shortly after it was built, according to public records.
But Page said that despite having the house for five years, the multimillionaire was practically a stranger to his neighborhood.
'They had barely any furniture in the house and nothing in the yard, the shades were always down and it was like they were not even living there,' she said.
Others who lived next to a property he owned in Florida told CNN he would flip around from place to place, and admitted that he spent most of his time indoors playing online poker.
Paddock certainly seemed less open with his Reno neighbors; Page describes him as 'a reclusive weirdo' and says she 'never once got as much as a smile out of him.'
'I never heard music, conversation and never once saw them have friends over.
'He would keep his face down, avoid all conversation and was just very unfriendly and strange.'

Disclaimer: I'm only halfway through the video but I think it's safe to assume that's exactly what he's doing? He's asking if anyone needs an EMT but walking away from people who have been hit and certainly need an EMT.
Watch the entire video. He's running looking for EMTs to direct them to the wounded with a pulse. He gets into an argument with someone(not sure if LEO or just employee) about the lights still being shut off long after the shooting stopped. "If you can turn them back on , TURN THEM ON. We need light." he told the guy out of view of the camera.
He also in the video tells someone tending to a wounded person he can't treat them he's just trying to help direct the EMTs/Nurses to the ones who can be saved. His intentions were solid.
AS for someone taking video, I have expressed in this thread that I'm one of those people who absolutely want to digest every picture/video/timelines available.

Wasn't he seen leaving the Mesquite house on the 26th or 27th?
According to what was reported on Monday and Yesterday his primary residence was in Mesquite and both Stephen and Marilou were living there.

Page kinda sounds like a nosy bitch I'd try to avoid, too, to be fair.

I totally get this. But that doesn't mean it wasnt in extremely poor taste for this guy to walk around with a camera. If it had been one of my kids dead on his video...god help him.

Page has only lived in that neighborhood for 2.5 months, so her commenting on them not being very present for the 5 years Paddock owned the house is not as satisfying as the account below from a neighbor who has lived there all 5 years.
quote:same la times article
Brent Webb, a retired high school administrator, is acknowledged in the neighborhood for knowing just about everybody, thanks to his walks with his dog, Barney. Webb said in the five years that he's lived just a few houses down from Paddock, he only saw the man once, driving out of his driveway.
He said he saw Danley just a few more times, picking weeds in the garden. She'd say hello and ask about the dog, Webb said, but that was the extent of their conversation.
"They gave no indication they'd be involved in anything like this," he said. "'Course, nobody knew them."

I don't really have that many exchanges with my neighbors and I'm friendly AF in person. I live in a condo building and see people all the time. Say "Hi" and move along.
I'm sure it comes to a shock to these people finding out they have been living beside someone who is capable of this; but none of us REALLY know who our neighbors are...especially behind closed doors.

Exactly what I was thinking. She had a whole lot to say about the lifestyle of a person who she never saw and supposedly had the blinds down all the time. That interview is as strange as the rest of this whole story. Page sounds like the kind of neighbor that would make me want to move.
