The way he said it was very interesting. Also, terms he chose after saying it were interesting. It seemed like he miiiiiiight not be sure this was simply a "normal" guy having a bad 6 months or so. And he was a bit more stern with how he explained what they're doing with Marilou.
Just to play devil's advocate, it could be that he is tired of hearing the same questions being posed in this thread - why aren't you talking to the girlfriend? Why haven't you released the motive? Why aren't there more videos/pictures for us to devour?
I think he made it very clear that they know much more than they're letting on, but it is truly an ongoing investigation, so they're not going to taint the information they get from a person of interest.
Seems pretty logical.

He also thought it was extremely suspicious the GF happened to be out of the country.
frick yeah, that was concerning to me immediately. Then I heard that she was a high stakes poker hostess in Dubai. That puts you around a lot of high powered nefarious men.
I thought this yesterday at 9am:

between a note and video footage and possibly other electronic data collected, hard to fathom there's no motive at this point.
Is there confirmation of a note being left?

Retired FBI on fox last night said ISIS doesn't usually claim responsibility if they weren't involved. He said they're known to exaggerate but not outright claim things they had nothing to do with. He also thought it was extremely suspicious the GF happened to be out of the country.
Another thing, didn't a group from Australia(Marilou stays there, no?) basically congratulate Paddock for the shooting shortly after?
Probably nothing, but seems like something to keep an eye on maybe.

One thing for sure - if there is an Islamic tie to this shooting, Trump's twitter feed will be the first to tell you.

How can you say that without knowing the details about him?

Yea. That was a Antifa twitter page out of Australia.

Possible his gf faked a kidnapping? I just have a hard time seeing this dude personally involved with a terror cell, but can't come up with a reason why he'd do all of the shooting
Hopefully the sneaky cameraman snapped a pic of the note
The Philippines aren't known for being nice to terrorists

This might be the first act of radical Islamic terrorism triggered by the poon tang.

We have a lot of details. What do you mean?
We know he is an old rich guy, with no kids, who doesn't seem social based on his total lack of footprint. Accountant type, who doesn't seem to have been married (maybe he sucks with the ladies?)
Gambles a lot, but on Video poker (maybe he doesn't like people, socially awkward), somehow gets connected with a high stakes world traveling Filipina poker hostess.

So she faked a kidnapping so he would kill and injure many people then kill himself?
WTF?

it's good to know they are confident in uncovering motive. Hopefully we have more answers before the weekend.
If I'm not mistaken, this was the first time the sheriff has proclaimed, and with some confidence, that they're sure they will nail down this motive.
I don't think he'd do that without knowing that they've got a bit of something cooking.
Holy reading tea leaves, Reauxl

Does anyone else think there may be the possibility that he's been financed by Islamic terror networks the past few years with the ultimate goal to carry out an attack like this? I think it's possible the girlfriend was the influencer that made this happen.
I just find it so strange that we can't really discern how this guy made so much money to have "extensive" real estate investments and be a multi-millionaire property investor. Sure, he could have gambled a bunch and made some money as a postman and accountant, but why has his resume been pretty much blank since the late 1980's? Something doesn't add up.

Interesting theory. What if the wired money was "ransom money" and that ISIS would kill her if he didn't pay and carry out this act? It doesn't however fit in with their claim as him converting to Islam and being a soldier of IS>S..
