We just had a former President have an assassination attempt against him due to gross incompetence and......nothing was done about it.
You think the FBI gives a frick about stopping this type of thing? They're too busy building hit piece portfolios against those politicians that don't "think correctly".

I’d say bullying is a much bigger problem now than it’s ever been. Not only do you now have digital and social media to tease kids, we’ve taken the ability for a kid to standup for his or her self against a bully completely away. No bully has any fear of repercussions because most of the time, nothing happens to them. Rarely in fact. Schools won’t lift a finger to punish them. And if a bullied kid responds verbally or physically, they’ll likely incur greater consequences than the bully.
And at the end of the day, kids bully for the perception of power, and the only way you really fix that is by taking power away from them. And those kids don’t care about stern talking tos from administrators.

Right but these youths nowadays have no mental strength, fortitude, whatever you want to call it.
They break way easier psychologically.
And like I said before, I think it's the drugs...also cultural breakdown...away from the nuclear family

Yeah, but back in the day, you could fight back and at worst you'd get part of the punishment the bully got. Now the bullied kid who fights back gets worse, and the bully often gets off scott free.
I was on the wrong end of bullying as a scrawny kid from the poor side of town when I was a kid. I got creative and fought back against the bully. I got away with it, he got in trouble, and three years later we became good friends and co-founded a club at school.
Kids used to have to go through the pain of growing up. Now, between helicopter parents, parents who don't care at all or are absent, total absence of discipline in schools, and leftist "equality" policies, they don't grow up at all and expect the government to take care of their every need, or they'll sue, because surely they are a victim of some sort.

These freaks are ALWAYS flagged by concerned citizens. Yet our FBI never does enough to protect innocent lives. Makes one wonder.
This is another case of a parent who is so gun nuts that even when his kid is identified as a threat he still leaves guns lying around.

Concerned citizens brought this to the attention of law enforcement. The kid was making online threats last year about shooting up the school. FBI visits the home. Interviews the kid and parents. Dad has hunting rifles in the home. FBI says ok we’re good here and tells local police to keep an eye open. Seriously WTF. THE KID SAID HE WAS GOING TO SHOOT UP THE SCHOOL. And FBI tells local po po to keep an eye on it.

The family moved. When he was ID'd and interviewed in May 2023 they lived in Jackson County. Apalachee is in Barrow County. Someone dropped the ball in not tipping the new school about the 2023 incident.
FBI took the initial tip and passed it to Jackson County Sheriff's Office who did the interview and alerted local schools.

Long time member, but I rarely post. I can speak from the viewpoint of a parent who's child was at school during a school shooting.
Small town rural Tennessee school, not a large number of dead or wounded, but tragic. The shooter lived, and was actually later released back into society.
I think some of the contributing factors are:
1. Deinstitustiinalizing mental health patients.
2. The release of the movie "Natural Born Killers", which glamourized the thoughts of killing sprees.
3. The proliferation of RPG shooter games on game consoles.
Since the 90's, our society has been increasingly polorized politically, the nuclear family has dissolved greatly, and people increasingly need to be right, and get 1 up on whomever they disagree with. Couple this wirh being desensitized by the failure of parents to control the outside influences, cultural influences, and a lack of respect for human life, and people, specifically children do not know or care about the consequences of their actions, and have no remorse for their actions, because they haven't been taught right from wrong.
I know, long post, and of course it's my opinion, and those are like butt's, everyone has 1 and they all stink.

The kid’s aunt is Annie Polhamus Brown

“They are charging my 14yo nephew as an adult, for murder.
Yall ready to see Polhamus blood in full throttle? Nah, I wouldn’t be either. “
And earlier today posted:
“PLEASE SOMEOME GET ME IN TOUCH WITH GBI!!!!!!!!!!! I’VE TRIED CALLING!!!!
I am not scared, I will not back down.
I will NOT disrespect other parents and families that are dealing with this tragedy on the opposite end. They DID NOT DESERVE THIS!!!!
I WILL NOT do anything but humbly support the families involved in this incident that did not ask to be participants!!!!
With that said, I WILL NOT leave my nephew standing alone!!!! When Uvalde happened, I told my own children that “only hurt people hurt people.”
I did EVERYTHING I COULD TO FIGHT FOR MY NEPHEW!!!!!! AND MY NIECE!!!!!! AND MY OTHER NEPHEW!!!!
Y’all can go ahead and play the blame game all you want, but THE FAMILIES affected by my nephew’s actions deserve all the attention now!!!!!!
I will take care of my nephew and what he needs on this side - just check yourself before you speak about a child that never asked to deal with the bullshite he saw on a daily basis!!!!!
