For those of you who believe in the mask.

Where do you stand on the policy of wearing a mask from the front door of a restaurant to your table and then taking it off?

It seems a bit silly to me at this point. I get the idea that it would keep a coughing, sneezing, snot slinging person covered as they traversed the floor but those people aren’t going out these days. I honestly can’t remember the last time I saw someone cough or sneeze in public since this all started. Pretty sure the mob would string them up at this point.

Is it a good policy or theater for the masses?

They can't prove efficacy of mask policy so don't even bother. They'll link you to studies of academic research in controlled environments but they can't prove in practice for covid that it works. There's no proof it does or does not work.

I take it off when I sit down. Unless the restaurant follows the health department policy verbatim, and I wait until they serve drinks.

Dude. Wearing a mask is effective. It’s science. You can be a science denier if you want but just wear the mask to protect others from yourself.

It's mask theater.

That being said, I wear the mask from the door to the table so I can get those tasty enchiladas at my favorite Mexican spot.

If a restaurant asks me to wear my mask until I get to the table, I’ll do it. I’d probably be willing to do it anyway out of respect for other patrons.

Wouldn’t it be strange if the disease could be spread without symptoms....

I don’t recall anyone performing surgery in public. Masks were generally only worn in hospitals during surgeries.
