re: Married Men of the OT - When Did You "Know"

Going to sound odd but, when she followed me. I was dating a girl before I met my fiance and we were good together. We went to Alabama together and things were fine. Suddenly, we're a semester away from graduating, I'm accepted into medical school in a different state and I'm expecting her to just come right along with me. Turns out, she doesn't want to. We split up, and I spent a lonely last semester.

Then after graduating I had about 6 months off before starting med school, so I say frick it, I'll move to Miami. Worked as a pharm. tech for a couple months, eventually where I met my fiance. Within a month of that we rented a place together. Then we had the talk about what was going to happen when I had to move to the city where my school is in, and without hesitation she said she'd follow me wherever I went. It was just the polar opposite of what I was expecting.

Three years since then, and she has been supportive even when I'm extremely busy with school, or when I can't keep up the house (which we just bought after spending two years in a shithole of an apartment). It is just good to have someone who supports you no matter what the circumstances.
