I'd be fine with a socially liberal and fiscally conservative candidate. They don't seem to ever garner much support though.

I want marijuana to be legalized but I probably still wouldn't even smoke it. Ultimately, I vote with my bank account though. Give me the candidate that's going to take the least amount of money from me.

I've done shrooms a half dozen times or so and don't recall ever getting depressed while tripping so they must be legit.

Problem with the right is how they allow big corps to write off their taxes. A VAT or flat tax from gross profits needs to be implemented.

Another issue is the decades long propaganda saying marijuana is a gateway drug as well as it being sign of a sinful society. Lots of older folks can’t let that go.

CA takes back with the other hand. Plastic straws, increasingly puritanical about tobacco, etc.

I made my argument about this on page 1. You should have every right to grow your own. Do you see cigarette/cigar smokers taking the time and effort to cultivate and grow the product they smoke? No. If legalized some will grow their own, but the fact is that most people will buy it and it will then be taxed thereby benefitting the community as a whole.

California’s system is, Californian. They tax legal growers making you prepay the tax, tons of regulation like RF chipping each plant, and then do absolutely nothing to illegal growers or dispensaries.

Theirs cheap land and access to water throughout gulf coast. Grow it, tax it, and create an industry.

The absurdity of a fricking plant being illegal is mind boggling.

I can definitely see how someone living in western Oregon would be depressed.

More and more conservatives are actually opening up to legalizing pot. It’s going to take time for it to actually happen, but it’s trending that way. Canada and Mexico might have legalized it, but it has nothing to do with individual liberty. You can’t claim they care about liberty with that one ruling when they restrict more important liberties with the next ruling. Same thing is happening here. I’m all for legalizing pot for multiple reasons, but don’t try to sell me on the belief that it’s for liberty.

Why not all drugs? Why just Marijuana?

Marijuana should be legalized for sale for public consumption.

All other drugs should be decriminalized for personal use, but should still be illegal/hard to get.

If you want to rip a line of coke off a strippers arse, go ahead. You shouldn't be able to be arrested for possessing and using it.

You should still be held accountable for your actions while you're high.

If they arrest you for robbing a convenience store. The fact that you had a gram of cocaine on you shouldn't factor into the equation at all. You should just be arrested for robbing the convenience store.
