Has anyone ever argued otherwise?

My position has always been that all these substances should be treated equally in regards to social stances.

We point out the negatives of alcohol, cigarettes, opioids, etc.

We have PSAs to address these things.

National organizations for things like drunk driving.

Chronic marijuana use is an issue and should be treated the same way as everything else.

It doesn’t need to be illegal, but we sure as hell should address it the same way as any other addiction.

The idea of “it doesn’t have withdrawals” is an asinine argument.

Fox ran this article because they must keep their 45-88 year old viewers in a perpetual state of fear and rage

Yeah, it should be pretty obvious that dragging smoke over your lungs is harmful.

I do it anyway because I enjoy the feeling of being high. No bueno around kids though.

Probably true, but that's not the issue. Should be legal. Let the adults decide what they want to do to their body. Can't be worse than the crap food they sell us that we eat daily.

Probably because they're pot heads.

It reads as if you're questioning that assessment. I think I get what you're saying now.

People just need to handle vices like me, One day I drink, the next day I get high, the next day I do mushrooms. Rinse and repeat. Take a break on the 7th day. Rinse and repeat. That way you don't get hooked on any one thing.

I don't think anyone (with a brain) disagrees. The argument has always been that it is no worst than alcohol

No intoxicant is better for you than none. It is better for you than alcohol, arguing otherwise is a fools errand, but it is an intoxicant.

It should be legal with restrictions similar to alcohol.

If this is your position, why don't you give up alcohol and start using marijuana?

Everything should be illegal for a century until it’s actually studied

Of course it is. Anything that makes you high is bad for you. It is interrupting the normal functioning of your brain, which might be why this isn’t apparent to you.

I started smoking about 15 years ago when I got rocky mountain spotted fever, it was the only thing that helped. I also had knee surgery and was given hydrocodone for 3 or 4 weeks. Less than a month of hydrocodone gave me much worse withdrawals than the times I've had to quit smoking.

Sex, hugging, physical touch..:anything that cause a rush of dopamine etc alters normal brain function..:

No it’s not. Neither is “good for you.” But inhaling something into your lungs is objectively worse than ingesting it orally. Not debatable
