o Biden pledged to do this in 2019
According to the article linked, Biden pledge to actually decriminalize. He never did get around to that. And seemingly waited almost 2 years to start the process of just rescheduling. And even then, was content to let bureaucracy be as bureaucratic as possible.

But sure. Biden did it!

Did Biden forget his promise until someone reminded him in 2022?

Probably just forgot where the pen was.

Or how to sign his name.

Or what his name is.

Ibwas 100% on board with full legalization until some bag girl in colorado lectured me about plastic bags for 15 minutes while I was checking out.

In short, it's the devil's lettuce.

Why didn't Biden sign the order? I am no Trump apologist either, but this is a big deal.

He was waiting on the DEA to provide approval. He'd already worked with the FDA and they signed off. I don't know, he was letting the process be the process. Trump hasn't done anything different from what I can tell other than make a big deal out of a meaningless EO. I mean, it's great news that he's aligned on this, but he literally did nothing but sign a meaningless piece of paper to continue the work of Mr. Auto-Pen.

Honestly the stench is likely a product of it being illegal. The shittiest, mexican brick weed has the worst smell. Even better, rescheduling it may end up making the primary form of ingestion as eating/drinking it, not smoking it.

Well this shoots to shite the Kentucky legislator's argument that they can't fully legalize here because of its scheduling.

It’s kind of wild that it’s recreationally legal in 24 states and medically legal in 40 states but still classified as schedule 1. Which means it has no medical use and is extremely addictive. Figured the feds would have changed that years ago.

They need to take it a step further at the federal level for it to not be a controlled substance, so that it's no longer illegal to use THC and own a firearm.

You can own legally own a firearm while legally using schedule 3 drugs. The 4473 form would definitely need to be rewritten, to no longer include the mean, bold text saying even marijuana, and even in med and rec states.

The feds did nothing because they're handcuffed by the liquor lobby. What eventually happened is that generations of doctors have done the work, and it's gotten impossible to deny the medicinal benefits. After years and years, science finally beat big money.

BTW just go on X right now and check out the absolute, laughable scourge of anti-weed posts. Experts, activists, etc, all suddenly coming up with new side effects, working feverishly on the orders of Big Booze to try to make weed seem worse than alcohol.

Now - it's time to find some way to exempt THC beverages from this stupid fricking hemp ban Mitch the Bitch snuck into the government funding bill.

long overdue. too many people have done way too much jail time over fricking weed. The fact that meth was classified as far lesser is one of the most clown shite things I can think of.

I mean if it proves to shorten the timeline to approval, props to Trump.

Do the same for psychedelics now. I guarantee you he won’t have the balls to do it.

Gonna get high when I get gas now. I'll blame my high THC levels on second hand smoke. Guess people will try to use that as a legit reason they have some THC on drug screen now.

America is the least corrupt country on earth supposedly. You will do without your pots, get liver and lung disease, ruin relationships, and be happy about it.
