don’t really care what people do as long as it doesn’t frick with me and mine. With that said, please stop smoking weed around the city, just walking the streets, especially during events where kids could be present. I’ve had to explain to my kid what “that smell” is.
I’m sorry someone made you have to communicate with your children.
I know that must’ve been hard for you.

But they tend to be a little different and not exactly what I'm looking for in an adult peer group.
I have two friends that are every day smokers. One is a very successful attorney. Youngest to ever make partner at his firm. The other is a stay at home mom married to a doctor. I think she only does it at night, but not sure.
Both are obviously not your stereotypical every day pot smoker.
But the dynamics in my friend group are weird, which may be a byproduct of being in Alabama. We have a few friends that have never smoked it, even in college, and view it as a scourge on society. My wife is kind of that way, but not that extreme. She tolerates my occasional use, though she's not crazy about it. Then I have the every day smokers I mentioned, and several that will toke if it's around, but rarely actively seek it out. One friend has a few drinks and starts hitting up the smokers for some. I don't think he's bought his own weed since college. He's 55.

Not a big fan of smoking anything, but looking forward to edibles being legal here. It's only a matter of time. It's hard to find anyone outside of an old church lady that thinks it should be illegal.

If you can get bud, google how to make Green Dragon tincture. It's better than edibles, IMO. Hits you faster(edibles can take over 2 hours to kick in), and a little easier to regulate the amount taken. It does stink up the house when you make it though.

You are a freaking ex heroin addict and a convicted felon. You are not allowed to say what is and is not trashy.

Yep. One last distraction for me to deal with when I'm driving them to school. As a parent, you have to put safety first.

In college I used to love rolling a blunt before bedtime and leaving it on my nightstand, then when you wake up in the morning, you can WnB without even getting out of bed

Explaining to my 10yr old that someone is doing an illegal drug and being disrespectful to others around them isn’t a pleasant conversation to have in the middle of an event. Additionally, I should have conversations about drugs on my timeline, not because some inconsiderate frick is being inconsiderate.
Is it too hard to enjoy your herb on your time and not exposing others to it? This is infringing on my liberties because you can’t get high in a way that doesn’t affect others.

By the time he's 18 it won't be illegal.

Where did you get your Juris Doctorate? Because you should get a refund on your tuition.

What scares me is if something happens to little jimmy in the middle of the night and both parents are stoned and can't bring him to the hospital or properly take care of him

How would you explain it to him if you're in California, Colorado, or some other state where it's legal? Because if you haven't been to a legal state recently, the smell of marijuana is very common pretty much everywhere you go in those states.

It sure is, and it's fantastic.

Big snowflake energy right here

I shouldn’t have to have that conversation at the zoo or at an amusement park or anything kid centric. I’m not saying don’t enjoy your weed at a concert, but be respectful of kids. Is it that hard?
