Crap. You are right. Not the dinosaur, they have one they tow that everyone throws at though. Is it the baby monkey? I am usually so drunk by that point.

The full section of that ordinance reads as follows: No ladder, chairs, ice chests, chaise lounges, barbecue grills, and other similar personal effects shall be placed in intersections or between curbs of public streets during the pendency of a parade. Ladders, tents, grills, and other personal effects shall be placed six feet back from the street curb. Additionally, the practice of fastening two or more ladders together shall be prohibited.
I have no problem with this.

Very rarely do I throw to someone on a ladder. There has to be a very small child on the ladder for me to throw to them.

YEah every year I go we always have a tent also on st. Charles that is well away from the curb that we use for cooking and ice chests in case of rain. I have never really felt that it was in anyone's way since it is well away from the curb.

I have no issues with tents being towards the back of the neutral ground, especially for the big days.

same with Endymion...
like the 6 foot back rule, and no roping off

People actually do this?
Yes, some affliction bro tried to fight me and my group for "rubbing up on his private rope". This was on St. Charles and General Taylor which is very crowded.

Rules only matter if enforced

He asks for two changes: ladders shouldn't be allowed on the neutral ground side at all. That will relieve crowding on the neutral ground, he says.
He runs out of time, but asks that smoking be banned because it's supposed to be against the law on the route anyway.

I'm still throwing beads back at Bachhus. I give no fricks.

What is the reasoning for snap pop/stink bomb ban?
Do people think they sound like gun shots or something? As a kid, Mardi Gras was pretty much only time I played with snap pops. Are party poppers next on the ban list? They are louder than snap pops.

I joined a friend at his spot on St. Charles last year for a week night parade and I was pretty damn ashamed to be inside their roped off area.
Damn area was huge, like probably big enough for 50 people. He had 25 or so chairs set up and there were only 10 of us there the whole night.

The reasoning given was the police think they sound like gun shots and they scare the police horses.

People who set up tents on the neutral ground piss me off

Unless snap pops have technologically advanced since I last used one, they were no louder than the sound of a twig breaking. Hell, we'd pop them between our fingers as kids. I have also never seen a single horse get spooked by them.
