So after reading a few articles it appears from vendor sales, balls, alcohol sales, food sales, hotel bookings, etc Mardi Gras generates around $1 Billion in revenue for the local economy. Of which the city of Nola most likely would take in $100’s of millions of tax revenue. Now that is gone. I can promise you Nola is in Dire Straits, and LaToya has no clue because she can’t even pay $95K in taxes

Democrats are horrific for the economy and a California political transplant is ruining the city she came to?

This is ground breaking news.

Those Mardi Gras Indians are going to be quite upset when NOPD starts arresting them during their impromptu parades.

Watch as these states and cities beg the Feds to print money.

Each state and city should have to deal with the fallout of their own policies.

It suck not having things open how they were but with the way these cases and infections are going, its the smart thing to do. People don't like wearing mask for more than five seconds and don't care about taking them off anywhere because they feel fine, can't breathe, aren't sick, or think its a hoax. So imagine during mardi gras how that would be.

Right now its about keeping people safe and trying to find the right and efficient way to have things. Can't do that at the moment

Wonder if Polly @ Avenue pub and Scott @ Courtyard Brewery will still be praising Destroya. I have no doubts they will. This city deserves everything that happens to it.

Ah, more of the "It's your fault Democrats are destroying the economy. Not the actual politicians doing so".

I remember them saying that when "Flatten the curve" was a thing.

The solution to Coronavirus can not be worse than the virus itself. Coronavirus response is a politically motivated power grab, and Democrats are willing to destroy people's livelihoods in return for federal bailouts. You deserve your misery.
