Riders six feet apart on the float? That is ridiculous. I ride an Endymion float. We have over 3000 members. How many floats do you think we would need to fit 3000 people spaced 6 feet apart? Do these people even think before they make statements like that.

How about the stationary floats that groups of people are supposed to walk up to? Has anyone in the current administration ever been to a Mardi Gras parade? It does not sound like it.

This is what we call cancelling without announcing a cancellation.

Which makes some sense as a strategy here... even if it makes no sense on a practical level

Don’t those dumbasses realize people own private property along the parade routes?

Let’s not pay too much attention to anything said by the krewe of femme fatales, that’s like taking suggestions from the krewe of little rascals

You order them online.

They will come directly from China, possibly laced with Wuhan Bat Flu 2.0.

A new branch of public health officers, perhaps the Mardi Gras Covid Posse, could walk through crowds asking to see proof of a recent test.

For example, Cantrell suggested that it might be possible to televise more parades in order to minimize crowds. Stationary floats could be visited by small, timed groups of celebrants, or krewes could partner with restaurants to produce small, COVID-safe events.

Stationary floats, that’s funny. Timed groups also, so instead of trying to social distance on a parade route were just going to jam everyone together in groups. Will there also be full sanitation of the float areas between groups?

I still say someone gets hit by a tandem.

I will be straight up heartbroken if nobody adopts the Latoyazilla gif and makes it a float decoration somewhere.

I hope and pray someone in Le Krewe d'Etat has seen it.

Instead, wind instruments, both brass and woodwinds, would record their music and march while lip-syncing
I’m honestly surprised that this hasn’t been implemented yet.
