Take his dick out of your mouth. NATide didn't disrespect him at all. He simply said he isn't sold on the story. Just because he served doesn't mean he's infallible. Some of you are retards.

Doesn’t mean you need to call people “retards” for appreciating his service. He has been through some serious stuff for this country. He put his life on the line. What about you? Who exactly are you to call out others who are thankful? I’m not here to worship the guy, but I admire his sacrifice and his time spent. The dedication he obviously had to give to become a seal.

What exactly is wrong with you to be so bitter? To talk so vulgar and bring up “his dick.”

As someone pointed out, he clearly didn’t want this interview to be about himself. And he appeared overjoyed about the rescue of these boys. He was fired up.

Man, some of you people can be so miserable. By all means continue on with your “retard name calling.” have a good day, sir.

No need to feel that way, he is full of shite. Don’t let the OT discourage your assessment, most posters think all navy seals are God tier based on media hype. The truth is, there is a percentage of seals who are duds, Luttrell is one of them.

Where do you even begin to come up with stuff like this?

Most?

Most navy seals are duds? What does this even mean?

And who is claiming they are God tier? It is a pretty respectable positin though. Does some admiration bother you?

How can you even begin to speak on most navy seals?

I feel like it takes a certain type of person to be an officer, whether police or military. You don’t exactly have to be a prick, but sometimes you do need a certain edge. You certainly can’t be a pushover.

I don’t know, it just seems like people are so easily bothered and so quick to judge these days. Someone made a comment about how navy seal likes to talk about being a navy seal. So what? This was something they invested a big part of their life into. They obviously will have some pride about it, whether they admit it or not. People of all professions may have constant stories they enjoy telling.. maybe they exaggerate, maybe they don’t.. let them tell their stories.. you don’t have to believe it all, but you certainly don’t have to be bitter about it. Or bitter because others do have some respect for what they do.

If this happened here in America, I imagine they would be risking their lives to save everyone as well. Sorry their story telling bothers some of you, or the complete accuracy of it all.

You are so upset that you are coming up with your own offense to be offended about.

Pretty confusing post. You certainly can be a pushover officer.

They still get the crappier missions that aren’t as sexy as the other units.

A good buddy of mine was/is a Raider. He got out a few years ago as a Major and we now work together on some things. He was also an OSO before becoming a Raider so he is giving me some pointers to relay to my kid who is in college and wants to be a Marine officer. He did 6 deployments and as a Raider, most of his time was spent working with training the Afghan and Iraqi armies.

I was with Marcus on the roof of the Superdome in Sept 2005. We had to take out people. Brian Williams was there too. Good guys.

Where was Chris Kyle? I thought he was up there as well.

I actually like Marcus. He's a cool dude with deep East TX roots. His brother Morgan, who is also a SEAL, is pretty laid back too. However, I am not sure that some of the facts he has thrown out for public scrutiny concerning that mission and his treatment of the guy that took him in and saved him have been completely legit. But none of that nullifies the fact that he earned a Trident and served his country in the shite.

Just cuz a guy is laid back doesn’t make him a good dude. He is a straight up liar. He did his job that he signed up for. Good job. But don’t make shite up and write a book.

I agree. I read Lone Survivor and believed every word. Read American Sniper and felt it was filled with lies (like him beating up professional MMA guys in a bar, or shooting dudes trying to rob him), but wanted to believe it true.

Sadly, as more time passes, it sounds like both guys struggle with the truth.

I am related to a guy in ST6 Silver squadron (about to retire) and have worked out with a former gold squadron ST6 member. I’ve asked in passing about Luttrell and Kyle. I get the same response, which is don’t believe everything you read. No further explanation other than negative facial expression.

I think a large portion of their autobiographies are half-truths and a certain portion is outright lies.

Kyle supposedly pulled his gun and shot under his left armpit while he had his back to those supposed robbers at that gas station.

Yep...and the cops never made a report about it because he was a SEAL.

I don't know whether Kyle did these things or not, but I do know of a case in New Orleans where the cops did not file a report on a shooting. It was a attempted robbery by some thug who after being shot fled the scene, the Cops told the shooter "don't worry about it".
