LSU football players lead march on campus in wake of Jacob Blake shooting

Besides making one feel good about themselves, what exactly does marching for Jacob Blake over a thousand miles away to a college president’s office in Louisiana do?

Maybe it’s me. Maybe I’m the one that’s not woke yet, but what purpose could this possible have? 1 single human being out of 328,329,523 human beings is shot over 1000 miles away, and the LSU football team marches to the university president’s office to protest? I don’t get it. Help woke me. Plug me in. We all have televisions and the internet and are aware already, so what new thing am I being made aware of, and what purpose does this serve, and furthermore, what does the LSU president have to do with any of this????

Don’t y’all think this is getting just a wee bit ridiculous? I mean, is this part of boredom resulting from Covid-19, or maybe a need to get together and socialize? Please tell me that’s it, because I can totally understand that, but I really don’t get what purpose these things serve.

Who marches for this little fella?

Anybody? It’s roughly a thousand miles away, and to the best of my knowledge, he didn’t even have a pocket knife on him when he was shot in the face. How about for his sisters who had to watch their little brother get shot in the face? Anybody up for a march for these people? Maybe just a sticker on their football helmet?

Because it’s not about Blake, but about the long string of incidents?

Incidents of justified shootings? Agreed.

The long string of mostly justifiable incidents where thugs and criminals were rightfully shot because they can’t follow the simplest of fricking instructions?

Yeah. Crazy world we live in.

There's a much longer string of incidents that, frankly, creates the "long string of incidents" to which you are referring.

Most Americans are very gullible and very easily controlled by social media trends. Half of these people marching couldn’t tell you a single fact about the Jacob Blake situation.

Just like posting the stupid black squares on social media, they’re doing it for the clout. “Look at me everyone! I’m woke”.

Blacks do what white liberals tell them to do. Even though blacks know they aren’t respected by white liberals, they still follow the orders. That’s slowly changing fortunately

I agree.... it’s sad that people are being brainwashed into thinking that these are INNOCENT black people getting shot..... every one has had a criminal record and they must have basically been breaking the law. THATS why the police were called in the 1st place..... should George Floyd have been killed???? NO. Not like he was.... should the guy running from the police at the Wendy’s in Atlanta been shot???? YES. Should this career law breaker from Kenosha have been shot???? YES. It’s such a shame that most people are thinking that white cops just go LOOKING for black people to shoot..... IMO that’s wraps it up for me in a nutshell.... message to all people....

STOP BREAKING THE LAW!!!!!!!!!!!
Things like this would not happen.

Sociopaths aside, I’m sure everybody finds what happened to that little guy terrible and tragic. Often doesn’t need to be a march to address an issue when there is unanimity about the issue itself.

But it seems to me you should be organizing the march then. I don’t get people complaining about others not supporting something they care about, but then don’t do anything about it themselves. It’s just more virtue-signaling.

I’m not advocating fo it. I’m just pointing out the utter ridiculousness of every single bit of this nonsense, and how it’s a farce.

I won’t support these marches until there is more consistency among whose life gets celebrated. The poor black dad who was murdered in the Bronx in front of his daughter by another black man had no march for his life. Did his life matter in the eyes of BLM? The only lives that matter to them are the ones where white kills black. If I got shot and killed in north Baton Rouge by a black man, nobody would march for my life. They only march for those that can push an agenda.

It serves a purpose, just not the one the majority of the people involved believe it serves.

let them have their march. would you rather try to stop it and not have a pressure release valve?

when people feel helpless is when shite gets ugly.

I really think a lot of people lack empathy to see . Things are a lot better than 100 years ago but if anyone is really that niave to think that police brutality isn't real or deserve to be talked about is beyond me.
