March 2018 was the sixth warmest March on record.
quote:

March 2018 was +0.89 °C warmer than the average March of the 1951-1980 period. This value is lower than the two hottest years of the record — March 2016 (+1.30 °C) and March 2017 (+1.12 °C) — and is comparable with the years 2002, 2010, and 2015, which cluster tightly around +0.9 °C. The corresponding number for all other years in our 138 years of modern record-keeping is at or below +0.77 °C.

I really thought we were having cooler than normal weather this year in the United States. Did I miss some hot spell? Are these people cooking the books? What’s going on?

And the earth is 4.5 billion years old? Sounds like we're missing a pretty extensive chunk of weather records.

Seems more like a harbinger of an ice age.

why don't the greenhouse gasses escape through the giant hole in the ozone layer we created by using hairspray and Freon back in the 70's and 80's?

Can't you read? Coldest March in 3 years. It's right there in your quote.

This morning, I listened to an NPR report about climate change affecting California with more extremes of drought and floods. The report ended by saying "there have already been double the amount of forest fires this year, compared to last in California."

I nearly sky screamed, because that is such a bogus qualifier. I wanted to find the transcript of the NPR report to rip it to shreds, but can't find it.

I did find an article that was the basis for the NPR report, though.

California will experience 'whiplash' due to climate change.

The opening paragraph:
quote:

Monday, April 23, 2018 - California will suffer more volatile weather this century with a 'whiplash' from drought to rain and mounting risks a repeat of the devastating 'Great Flood' of 1862, scientists said on Monday.
So, climate change will bring about effects similar to those in 1862??? More than a century ago? But, forest fires from last year to this year are also proof of climate change? Goodness gracious, the absence of science behind this kind of reporting is absolutely foolish.

Fear mongering about climate change has gone insane. And make no mistake, the agenda behind it is to promote more government control over people. It's not about climate change or preserving the planet whatsoever.

The research scientists have to keep their money coming in.

I'm still looking for the 5" rise in the ocean at Grand Isle and the 12" rise at Galveston that I saw in a report a few years ago.
