I’m surprised to see they haven’t arrested someone yet for it. Friend was close by and said police had arrested a young black male and were questioning him. That told me he likely wasn’t from
Mandeville.

I live here and I’m pretty sure that’s incorrect. We had a murder suicide in Cherry Creek, correct?

I did forget about that one, but I was also using the official City of Mandeville stats. Cherry Creek is outside city limits

You must be nuts. That place wasn’t even safe 40 years ago.

The gym is nice, not crowded and has a separate cardio room. It’s worth the trip. I would find a reason not to go to one of the chains

moral rot in this country spares nowhere

This country is safer than it ever has been.

I'd bet my wallet that you're over 50 years old.

Violent crime and murder rate have decreased to half of what it was in the 80's and 90's. There were several mass wars in 1900s with nothing close to it in the 2000s.

What you likely are is a low IQ fat potential redneck that thinks everything was better in his younger days because you hate/can't handle change. Life's changes have just gotten too difficult for you, and the only way to cope is to think that everything was better long ago. Sad life to live. That's the truth.

Police on the northshore actually give a shite, as do the residents. That's the difference between north and south shore right now.

I will add that when they catch the perp, and they will catch him, he go will go to jail. That doesn't happen in New Orleans.

This is one huge cliche responding to the cliche of things being better in the past.

But this thread would legit be 10+ pages of people calling NOLA a shithole if it happened on St. Charles avenue. The double standard is hilarious

NOLA has become a shithole.
And it’s not a double standard if there is a vast gap between the two in regards of crime.

I have begun advocating for the mayor of Mandeville to have a "nuclear football" type of briefcase that can instantly dynamite the causeway.
