Nope. Not Publishers Clearinghouse.

Their competitor. American Family Publishers.

They had their own sweepstakes.

Yeah and Febreeze is actually Febreze, the wicked queen in Snow White didn’t say “Mirror, Mirror on the wall” and it’s not Selsum Blue, it’s Selsun Blue…

I just asked my wife “what prize giveaway organization was Ed McMahon associated with”?

Without a pause she said “Publishers Clearing House”.

He was ABSOLUTELY a spokesperson for Publishers Clearing House.

Same. I’ve asked 3 people so far. They’ve all said Publisher’s Clearing House.

Mandela Effect

Craziest one I've heard is a lot of people (including myself) thought that Rosie O'Donnell was in A League of Their Own but it was actually a young John Goodman.

I was too young to associate Ed McMahon with Johnny Carson… so when I was a kid I remembered him as the guy from the Publishers Clearing House commercials.

I always thought there were logical explanations for the Mandela Effect… but wtf.

This exactly. The only reason I knew of Ed McMahon was specifically because of the Publishers Clearinghouse commercials.

The Mandela Effect might be true for some things, but not this. People unilaterally agree he was on PCH commercials.

Publishers Clearing House (PCH) was a competitor to American Family Publishers that ran similar sweepstakes. The two companies were often mistaken for each other, with Star Search host Ed McMahon and The $25,000 Pyramid host Dick Clark, the spokespeople for AFP, mistaken for representatives of the better-known PCH.[1] PCH remains in business and promotes its products by means of sweepstakes. Per wiki

Wiki is the perfect place to plant false info.

Can someone explain this 2 timeline stuff y’all are talking about?

What if Mandela effects are caused by some kind of cosmic ray or solar wind that distorts the memories of the entire population of Earth so we just think it was Berenstein Bears but actually it was Berenstain Bears. Every few years this cosmic event happens and an entire generation's memory becomes inaccurate.

I would've bet good money that McMahon delivered the checks for publishers clearing house. Apparantley not, or there's a glitch in the matrix.

I remember the van would pull up and ed would get out, i swear to god.

At least this one makes perfect sense that he was simply with a competitor.

Exactly, people just have a shitty recollection of something incredibly insignificant to them.
