Losing 70lbs is a huge accomplishment and takes a huge amount of commitment, determination, and discipline. Very few people could do it.
I was 260 at my heaviest. 145 now (5'8"). I struggled with it for years and would lose 10 pounds here and there, gain 15, lose 5, rinse repeat. The funny thing is when I finally decided I was really going to do this my whole mental state shifted and it actually became very easy. To the point that I don't even feel any real sense of accomplishment.

I know this doesn't help anyone else because you can't force yourself to have a "come-to-Jesus" moment but guess I just wanted to let others know that even if it's a struggle for you right now, it doesn't mean it always will be. Some people never get started because they look at maintaining a healthy wait as a lifelong struggle that requires constant vigilance and deprivation. When you start making those healthy changes and developing them into habits it starts to shift your perspective. It stops being a struggle once you start to realize just how good feeling good can get.

I'm in the same boat. I know exactly what you're talking about. Another one is people act like they're scared to even approach it and will wait till like a 4th or 5th interaction with you to bring it up (how much weight you lost).

One thing I know feels better for you is your lower back. Imagine wearing a backpack with 70 lbs all the time. And then how it would feel if you took that 70 lbs out the backpack. That's what your back is feeling right now.

Stopped drinking and changed my diet. I don't really want to get into diet too much because that can turn a thread into a shitshow and I don't want to derail the thread.

My wife has lost 32 lbs. since the first of March when this covid crap started. About a month ago she had to actually buy a couple of smaller bras. Said that was the first time since her tits started really growing at age 18 that she has had to do that. No pics, she's too old for you youngbloods.

I had to do the same when I lost weight. Well, actually the reverse. When I gained it, I had to buy bigger bras. When I lost it, I was able to go back to the old ones.

Losing weight is fricking hard.

It's much easier to deal with spending money on clothes that fit you because you lost than the other way around though. That trip to the store to get a size bigger is like the walk of shame.

Reminds me of my other weight loss tip: throw all your old skinny clothes away.

I've lost significant amounts of weight twice in my life. Both happened immediately after giving up on losing weight and throwing all my old clothes away.

Yes it is - because I’ve lost weight but the whole bra thing hasn’t changed - so did I really lose weight??

Frustrating

Congrats on the weight loss and diet change. I’ve completely changed my diet by cutting out fast food and anything fried. I eat a lot of lean meat, fish, fruits, veggies and healthy grains.

Grats, man. I need to do the same thing, but I would be extremely happy at 200.

How long did it take you to lose 70 lbs?

Oddly erotic phraseology....

Depending on the circumstances, fricking hard can also be fricking hard.

At my peak I was 240. Now at 210. Still working on it. 6’1” so a little more height helps
