Ummm, the bat. A wolf isn’t like a fricking chimp, you idiot. A physically peak man could probably take down a wolf if they’re familiar with wolf tactics. Wolves are like us where they use their intellect and numbers to take down prey. They have similar strengths and weaknesses as we do, but if you give a peak male a weapon, it’s ballgame against the wolf.

Oh I agree absolutely. When I read he threw the chainsaw I thought he was stupid as hell.
I’m also confused why he lost the axe too. Both of those were better tools than the knife. And yeah why leave your gun 50 yards away in the snow.
But all of that was to show, he probably would have died with only his knife if not for the snow

This is silly. Ability to swing a bad with enough force to knock a wolf back requires a lot of recovery time and energy. You know youre gonna end up in real close quarters with it. While the wolf bites and holds on you can do some serious damage on its exposed areas with a 6 inch blade

Just bring a rolled up newspaper with you and whop it on the nose one good time while assertively yelling "NO!" This will allow you to establish dominance over the wolf and he'll either run off with his tail between his legs or become your loyal servant.

Exactly. You will have better odds with a knife. If a wolf is all of a sudden coming at you, it would be extremely hard to get in a stance to get a good swing and even then, you don't know when the wolf will jump on you and at that point the bat does you no good.

Question for clarification, what size knife are we talking about? We talking a 2 3/4” folding knife used for every day carry or we talking a 6” KBar style knife?
