Man steals from Waffle House... by working there

While taking orders and preparing food at the restaurant, 26-year-old Tryone Hamburg is accused of stealing $300 from the Waffle House register, police said. Police said this happened around 8 p.m. on Feb. 12 in the 2900 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.

I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more often. With so much employee turnover in the restaurant industry it would actually be pretty easy to pull off without other staff noticing.

The guy should be allowed to keep the money. If the manager on duty didn’t try and stop him or even cared to notice that this dude was not part of their staff, they deserve to get robbed.
