The Popeyes in Harahan was cash only today after one of the employees broke the credit card machine.

Damn Maryland is going HAM over this chicken sandwich.

Well they live in Maryland; what food is Maryland known for?

Casseroles?

If those fuggers go crazy over a fried chicken sandwich; just think what their basic arses would do if they came to a real EATIN'.*

*Pro Tip: they'd be like Fat F*ck Joe Moorhead and reach maximum density within 6 months.

You literally have no idea what you’re talking about. How many times have you been there?

Maryland?

Oddly enough, out of the 37 states I have been to, Maryland is not one of them.

Sorry I triggered you though.

And thanks for the downvote.

Lake Trout my man Lake Trout. You wanted to get it from The Roost but alas Doris (RIP) died over 10 years ago. Try Lake Trout 1 or Lake Trout 2 now. Even Anthony Bourdain skipped the crabs for the trouts.

Sounds good to me brother. I love lake trout.

I was just replying to a reply; I'm sure when I go to Maryland it'll be like every other state: I'll hate it and I'll love it.

It was all tongue in cheek.

Cheers to Maryland!

For total transparency, I have no special connection to Maryland or Bodymore we just travel (and eat) a lot.

Lake Trout is the Chilean Sea Bass of Maryland, it is not a trout and doesn't live in a lake. It is actually whiting and like the Patagonian Toothfish, folks decided it needed a different name. Lake Trout is the catfish of the Mid-Atlantic both in preparation and culture but it is also oddly delicious. I would imagine quite a few people have been stabbed over a plate of Lake Trout probably more than a few at The Roost before it closed.

Can't get much more Maryland than some lake trout, steamed crabs, crab cakes and wash it down with a Natty Boh (National Bohemian beer) with a slab of Smith Island cake for dessert. Then some pit beef and Thrasher's french fries for lunch the next day.

Apparently we can add the Popeye's sammich to the list soon.

You missed Utz chips. Preferably crab flavor.

If we are including snacks then Berger cookies should be on the list. They are like Black and Whites in NYC but don't tell a Baltimore native that.

After this discussion (except the whole stabby thing), I am not dreading having to be in Baltimore later this month near as much as I was.
