BAKERSFIELD, CA (KBAK/CNN) – A man who was shot by police last week after being pulled over says he wanted to prove to his friend that police officers are good people.
Last Monday, 29-year-old Jose Vaca was pulled over while driving with a friend. He got out of the car holding a rifle, which he’d purchased at a flea market and was not legally allowed to have.
"I exit my vehicle, I come to the front of the police vehicle, I put my butt of the rifle on the floor and I just put my hand up,” Vaca said.
The weapon startled the police officers, who opened fire without warning, according to Vaca.
"Soon as I hit the ground, I just attempted to play dead, and then they fired a couple more shots at me from the back as I was lying on the ground,” he said.
Vaca says he never planned to shoot the officers. Instead, he thought this would be an opportunity to prove a point he’d made to a friend months ago about police brutality.
What a genius

You sure this didn't happen in FL?

"First thing that came to my mind is I'm already going to get pulled over. I know they're most likely going to take me in, but I’m going to try my theory real quick and see that it's true so she can believe there’s good officers in the world,” he said.

I was on Calliope today about to get on the Ponchartrain expressway and NOPD were checking brake tags and pointing people over. I have seen this happen all over the state but never ever in NOLA.
Well the gent in the F150 in front of me had an expired brake tag and didn't want to stop. He tried to drive around the cop, then the cop practically jumped on his hood. The guy then went by the other cop and quickly turned into a parking area marke "private parking".
I wonder what happened to the f150 driver, I'd say he deserved a whooping.
I went to start a thread with my dash cam footage earlier and I left the SD card out from the other day.

How did that guy make it to be 29? His theory
to test police involved carrying an illegally owned rifle during a traffic stop?

I'm going to test the theory that Chicago is inherently safe. I'm going to walk around with $20 bills hanging out of my pockets. Anyone want to join me?

He's full of shite. These intentions of his seem like they were concocted after he got shot.

Shoot first the the new normal for cops. As Trumpkins will defend this mentality and execution of citizens until the very end.

Instead of trying to politicize it, how about looking at the situation objectively and making a deduction. No normal minded person is going to read this story and immediately start cop bashing. Only a liberal would completely ignore the actions of the dumbass in the OP, as if they had nothing to do with the outcome.
